Prologue
Like a FAIRYTALE.
I'm Hyeri Samara Castillo, but I used to call me in my first name which is Hyeri. I'm 18 years old and nasa college na ko. My life has changed when I was 9 years old because of a car accident, my father died that time, and I blamed myself for that. But today, my life has changed more when my mother started to control my life and want me to marry someone I never know.
"I am really happy and thankful to all of you for attending this very special occasion, and I hope you will come again in my daughter's wedding... Happy birthday sweetheart" my mom said in front of the guests then she look at me. I'm about to cry, and I don't know what to do. Then my bestfriend run to me and she hold my hand.
"I know you're surprised" she said.
Today is my 18th birthday, I should be happy because this is my day, but my mom ruined it. She was standing in front of my guests just to announce about that f*****g arrange marriage.
"What am I gonna do?" I asked my bestfriend but my mom called me in front using microphone.
"Come here sweetheart, I know you're surprised, but trust me you will be happy" my mom said and the tears came out from my eyes.
"I will be happy? Noooo! I don't want her plan, I'm not agree with that f*****g arrangement" sabi ko sa bestfriend ko while crying. She hugged me and whispered something.
"Wanna run?" she whispered
"Samara!" my mom called me again in my second name. I stood up and I gave a look to my bestfriend. She understand me and nodded at me.
"Go!" my bestfriend said then I run. I heard that my mom shouted my name many times but I chose not to stop
I don't know where I'm going, but I don't want to come home.
The heavy rain fell so I chose to stay at a convenient store. I was still wearing my gown and my sandals were on the table because I took them off when I was running.
I was getting cold from the heavy rain and I noticed a guy sitting at the other table. He bent down and I noticed a lot of beer on his table. I was suddenly scared because the man was drunk.
My fear intensified when he suddenly looked at me. Maybe he noticed that I was looking at him. I just averted my eyes and noticed that he stood up and left.
"buti naman at umalis na" sabi ko.
A few minutes later it rained harder. I watched the dark sky and slowly felt tears dripping from my eyes.
"Sana nandito ka sa tabi ko papa" sabi ko while crying.
I suddenly looked at the guy standing in front of me na kaninang nakaupo sa kabilang table. But I thought he left, then why he's still here???
He handed me his handkerchief and I took it then wiped my tears.
"t-thank you" nautal kong sabi. I was surprised when he walk to my back and then he put his jacket on ME??? ?
"s-sorry but you don't have t-" I wasn't finish to talk but he left.
I don't know why I felt like this, I should be scared because there's a guy who's acting weird. I never met him before but... But I found myself calmed when he handed me his handkerchief and jacket.
