Chapter 31By the time Gabe walked out of the water in the fading sunlight, my panic had dissipated. I hopped off his back. He pulled the water out of my clothes and hair. Instead of letting it fall into the Columbia River, he kept it hovering in the air alongside us. “You know what? I think I’m going to use this as armor. Because who knows what your mom is going to do to us.
