Introduction Her blade struck the ground with a resounding clang, shattering into useless fragments. She dropped to her knees, hands cradling her head as though shielding herself from the humiliation. Trumpets blared triumphantly, a fanfare of my victory echoing across the arena. Cheers erupted—a symphony of applause and laughter filling the stadium, vibrating through the very air. Then, it happened. A cold grip clamped around my ankle, yanking me from the moment. Pain seared through my leg—a white-hot, blinding agony. The cheers faltered, collapsing into a stunned silence that spread like wildfire through the crowd. The stillness was deafening, every sound consumed by the suffocating quiet. I screamed, the sound raw and primal as I fell to the ground. Blood gushed from the ragged stump where my leg had been, painting the sand in crimson streaks. My breath came in shallow, ragged gasps as I fought to stay conscious. She stood above me, her eyes alight with fury and twisted satisfaction. Slowly, deliberately, she stepped closer. The sneer on her lips deepened as she extended a hand—not in kindness, but mockery—before slamming her boot into my chest. The impact sent me sprawling, my head pounding as though it might split in two. My stomach lurched, bile rising in my throat. Darkness began to creep into the edges of my vision, blurring her figure into a ghostly silhouette. I coughed, choking on pain and humiliation, as she turned her back on me. Her laughter echoed, sharp and cutting, as she strode away, leaving me broken on the blood-soaked sand. My body crumpled; my strength gone. One last groan escaped my lips as my eyelids fluttered shut, the world fading into black.
