Chapter 9: MalakiI couldn’t stop looking at the online footage of the California attacks. Depending on which source I read, I was either guilt-ridden or sickened. The mainstream US government was calling the attack a pre-emptive strike against a nation threatening war against the so-called moral way of life and the stupid Family Protection Movement. Other articles from around the world, blocked to the average US reader, made the attack known for what it really was—total bullshit.
I hoped California would get some help from outside allies. But ever since the US claimed to be isolationist centuries ago, most other countries stayed out of our business. So I didn’t know.
