Chapter 10 - The Revelation

Kisses hissed as the quiet moaning enveloped the bedroom, while Ekroff made love to his wife, all these were his fantasies, as he remembered the moments and times before she passed on during childbirth. She had Ipkis and Ekroff was left alone to take care of him. It was a tough challenge to raise the kid alone. He remembered the night she got pregnant for his son.

(Ekroff) saying to his wife “I can’t wait to eat you up raw”, it was as fresh as yesterday to him, as he remembered how he stroked her and made love to her passionately, while he moved his hands through her beautiful curled hair and never got tired of making her scream out his name; “Oh Ekroff, give it to me, I need all of you inside of me”. Then suddenly, a car horn blares in his compound, it was his son, who had come back from work and had come to meet Ekroff with one hand on his jaw as he kept a beautiful smile, being lost in thought.

What are you thinking of dad? You didn’t notice me here, Says “Ipkis to his father, as he queried the way he met him”. And Ekroff determined not to say too much to him said; “I just remembered your mother and the beautiful times we had together, I hope she is fine where she is now. I tried to bring her back you know”.

(Ipkis) “How do you mean dad, Bring her back, I thought she was dead?”

(Ekroff) Don’t worry my boy, let me tell you a story, I once spent several billions on research to resurrect your mother, I refused to bury her, I just preserved her body and kept it safe…”. All these were the things going on, as Ipkis got caught up in a vision, holding onto the werewolf book, with Joana.

Meanwhile, Joana was taken aback to see herself from where she woke up in her already consumed village. She saw a naked lady, who just woke up in the middle of nowhere, and discovered that her village was wiped out.

(Joana) “What am I doing here, is this a dream? I thought I was dreaming? As she screams out Dad, Mum, where is everybody?” as she bursts into tears. All she could see was some dead bodies littered here and there and she felt helpless. She couldn’t even remember her surname, but he just remembered that she had a father and mother, who were both farmers and singers. Where is my dad, please? “She asked in soliloquy”. There was no one to respond to her, so she first began to look for how to get some clothes to cover herself up. As she saw this, she kept on vibrating as her hands glued to the werewolf book, it was like a portal was open as the both of them, were taken aback by some of their past. It was like the book, triggered memories and brought to them visions. At some point, they both couldn’t take the force, and the visions came and they broke out panting heavily.

(Joana) “Is this how the book is supposed to work? It has taken me into visions, it was like some part of my past was opened unto me. There was no strange language this time around, but just visions”. She said as Doctor Hopkins looked upon Ipkis, as he was still panting heavily, expecting to hear from him.

(Ipkis) “I had a similar experience too, even saw things which happened leading to my birth, like Joana, I would have to ask. Is this how the book is supposed to work? Just show you things after which you have no choice but to paint the life out of yourself?”.

(Doctor Hopkins) “Not exactly, I guess it just simply insinuates that you too have got a strong bond, but we cannot assume until the book tells us about it accurately. You should take a rest a bit then engage the book again, I am sure that you will be able to get something meaningful today, I have all the time, that is why I came straight from the hospital, after my shift.

(Joana) “Okay, Doc. I hope we find something meaningful in this mysterious book. I hope it sheds light on us afterward, then she grabbed Ipkis by the hands are asked him if he was ready to continue and he nodded affirmatively, answering her with a hoarse voice. Then immediately they fixed their hands on the book, Joana began to hear a strange language, and it was like a force was pushing her to speak, to say words that conveyed no meaning, Ipkis’ eyes were not completely shut, he couldn’t manage the forthcoming uncertainty from placing hands on the book, so he was sluggish to do so, but Doctor Hopkins managed to encourage him, so he too began to speak in the supernatural languages written in the book.

It felt like he was having a conversation with Joana, in this strange language and the Doctor didn’t understand them, while they did. Then suddenly, Joana continued speaking them alone and Ipkis began to interpret whatever she said in the foreign language, into the English language. She flipped from page to page, speaking these languages and moving her hands through the write-ups in the book, which only she saw. Then Ipkis began to interpret.

(Ipkis) interpreting what he heard her say “All werewolves will be united by the god of peace and war, after the fall, they two will find each other and love each other, the disunity in the Werewolf world, can only be solved, when they have a Luna and Alpha who can unite them all. But they have to kill the husband of the evil goddess Evra”. As they spoke, Doctor Hopkins was writing, but some of these words did not make any sense to him. As she further spoke, her eyes were no longer closed, and the words were lifted from the book right into visions for her as she kept saying and reciting what she saw, then Ipkis kept interpreting, and after a while, she came out of the vision and was very tired.

The doctor advised that they take another break from it so it doesn’t kill her, it was taking so much energy from them and he wanted to be careful this time. Then he asked that Ipkis help to carry her to the empty couch opposite them, to lay her down, so she could rest. Immediately he turned, it was like he had become a clairvoyant too, maybe from touching or carrying her, he began to see visions of war and later on, he saw himself married to Joana, but couldn’t just understand why that vision came. It was like he saw a wedding ceremony with a blood ritual going on during a full moon, to unite all Werewolves, and then he saw Joana pregnant, it was a strange sight, he was caught between staying in the vision and this realm.

He suddenly heard her call him “My love” in the vision. It resonated so much in her heart, her voice was so beautiful to ignore, even while in the vision, he wished that this was physical and wouldn’t stop. While all these went on, a car drove into the compound, and it was Mr. Ekroff, Ipkis father, he had been looking for Ipkis and couldn’t reach his number, so he decided to come to check on him there, seeing his car in the compound was encouraging, as he parked his vehicle.
