Mansion Of The Dead

The sun is setting and its radiant golden rays are softly passing through the walls and cracks of an old, desolate building, located at the edge of a forest full of lush greens and pine trees. The building still retains its form, but it surely is inhabited by plants and wildlife only. Vines and other wild plants are sticking to its walls, making it look more eerie. One will definitely say that the building is not fit for humans to dwell in, for no one in their right mind would want to live in an old, creepy building, especially with the fact that it's so far from other people. The longer you look at the building, the more details you'll notice, take the broken glass windows and the concrete walls that are one push away from falling down as examples. This wrecked building is only a couple yards away from a really steep cliff. This cliff is the type to cut straight down to the ocean and in the bottom of the cliff are fierce waves pounding hard on the sharp and jagged rocks at the cliff's bottom. The people of the nearest town don't really go near the cliff for some reason. Though the building appears to be spooky, it has an alluringly mysterious aura and vibe that would make you want to go near it and even go inside it. People who claim to have felt this sensation describe it as: it's just like the walls are calling your name or it has unseen hands that pull you close when you go near or even catch a glimpse of it. Only a few people have knowledge about this abandoned building, mainly the people who live in the town near to the forest where it is. The people of this town always tell tales about the building, and how it is supposedly haunted by its so-called owner. The people of the town call it "The mansion of the dead." Mostly the elders tell this tale, and would say that after the sun sets, the abandoned building would go back to what it looked like before it was ruined, or in other words, it had the power of regenerating itself to its true and former form. They also say that if you are lucky, you would get the chance see its owner, but on other versions of the tale, you are unlucky if you do see the owner. The people who claim to have seen it decribe the building as an extremely majestic and mystical mansion, with its lights that shine as bright as the stars in the dark night sky. In addition to this, they say that the mansion is larger than what the people tell in the tales. People tell that when you enter the mansion you will get trapped with little to no way out. Some optimistic story tellers though, like to add that if you defeat the owner of the mansion, you could escape. No one actually knows how to defeat the owner though. Some describe the owner of the mansion as a horrific monster, one that would scare you to death by its haunting look, on the other hand, some people say that the owner is an extremely beautiful and charming lady, beautiful enough that one stare at her would make you fall in love with her forever. No one is actually certain with what is true, as the tales vary from person to person and the tales get modified over time. One thing is for sure though, that the people of the town use it to scare or warn the children from the dangers of going to the forest or wandering alone at night.
