Star Child

Long ago, the moon goddess blessed the wolves. Part of their blessing gave then the ability to shift from wolf to man freely and with ease. Placing two in the body of one to ensure their safety. The other part of their blessing was their mates. The one the goddess knew belonged with a wolf more than any other to ensure they would never be lonely. These blessings were more than any wolf could ever ask for. Around the time the wolves received their blessing, the curse of the vampire started. No one knows why the first vampire was cursed with the bat, but due to the timing they have always blamed the moon goddess. In a fit of jealousy and desire for revenge the vampires began to wage a war with the wolf's. In those hard times things became even darker and wolf's turned against one another in distrust, or hunger of power. It was then that the moon goddess graced the wolf's with her last gift. The moon goddess sent her own daughter to live on Earth with the wolf's. The moon child would live with the wolf's. Love and care for them all but most importantly protect the wolf's. Things started to quiet down and all seemed as if it was going well. Until the day that the moon child disappeared. No one truly knew where she had gone. Some say she sacrificed herself to ensure the wolf's safety. Some say the vampires kid napped her. Some say she was no longer needed and simply came home. The one thing they all knew though is the moon child would find her way back home if ever needed. She would always be there when they needed her. She abandoned us why can't anyone else understand that? Tate thought has he rolled his eyes listening to the nanny tell the young pups the story of the moon child. In all honesty that was probably all it was, a story, and old fairy tail passed down from generations to tell their young ones for a sense of security and loyalty to the moon goddess. Don't get him wrong, he was loyal and devoted to the moon goddess as all wolf's were. But he wasn't sure that she sent her only daughter to protect the wolves and just either pulled her back or let blood suckers get her. He shock his head he needed to stop thinking of vampires like that. Yeah a bunch of them were scum, but not all. Some were really decent people. Vampires were just like all breeds, you had your good ones and bad ones. Hell he knew plenty of bad wolf's. In Tates honest opinion if the Moon Child was ever real, she had abandoned the wolves. She probably wasn't as kind and caring as she is in the story. She could have been the bad one for all he knew! Tate wasn't always this way, he used to love listening to his mother tell the story of the moon child. As a child he always felt like the moon child was put in a hard spot being responsible for the well being of all the wolves. He could understand as one day he would be the Alpha and in the same spot. He would tell his mother all the time he would find the Moon Child one day and save her. He would protect her and hopefully learn she was his mate. How ever when Tate was only 10 his parent were ambushed by rouges on their way home from a meeting and Tate never seen them alive again. That's when his hatred for the moon child began. In the story his mother would tell him she would come and be there when she was needed the most. In his eyes she was needed the most the day his parents lost their lives and she was no where to be found. He was furious. Within time he became convinced either the moon child did not exist or she was the real villain. Alpha Tate I must speak to you at once. Tate recieved a mind link from his most trusted Elder, Elder Ronald. Come to my office. Tate mind linked back before waving goodbye to the children and heading to his office. Once there he discovered Elder Ronald already there. Elder Ronald had white hair and calm amber eyes, he always wore a peaceful smile and Tate couldn't help but to wonder how he always kept that smile. Elder Ronald was Tates most trusted Elder but that didn't sit too well with everyone. Elder Ronald was not born in the pack like most others. He was abandoned as a pup no one knows why. Some woman found him as a baby in the woods crying and took him home. She raised him as her own until he 16 when he stumbled into our pack. Tates grandfather had taken him in and he proved his worth almost immediately and continued to do so even to this day. Tate noticed something was off about the Elders appearance. The always peaceful smile he always wore was missing. "What is it Elder Ronald?" "I keep telling you to call me Ronnie pup." The Elder replied Tate smiled softly "And I've told you even from heaven my mother would kill me if I ever showed disrespect like that to an Elder" "True true good woman she was" Elder Ronald looked at him sincerely "Yes she was." Tate paused "Now what is it that you wanted to speak to me about?" Elder Ronald slightly hesitated before taking a deep breath. "You have heard the stories of my life before joining the pack" "yes" "The woman who raised me, my mother. She is still alive and well, but I'm not sure for how much longer. I have received intell of many people such as the rouges and dark vampires are looking for her and getting close. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned for my mother. How ever, that is not the only concern. I can't go insomuch detail at the current moment, but if they find her it will be bad for us all. For the wolves, humans, vampires fae all from this world will be at a great risk." "I don't understand how your mot" Before Tate could finish his question his wolf Dash chirped into his head Tate do not worry about such things now. We are meant to help the Elder and his mother. It is fate. Tate didn't really understand what his wolf was talking about but decided it was better not to fight with him at the moment. There was still many things flying around in his mind but he sighed in defeat. "We leaving in the morning" Tate spoke out. We leave now Dash corrected.
