Prologue
Third Person's POV
"Here, darling." The lady wearing a soft light fabric dress called out to the girl that is currently sitting beside her, playing with her white porcelain doll, dressed in a floral soft fabric dress, wearing flat shoes that matches her outfit. The doll is almost as a mini version of the girl that is holding it.
She smiled at the sight of her daughter as she kept holding the small plate of cheesecake. Their favourite. "Eat up." She said as she watches her daughter carefully taking the plate from her with a sweet smile after she put down her doll beside her.
The girl held her little fork properly like a lady should then she looked at her mother as she shoves the slice of cake on her fork in her mouth along with her mom doing so. They smiled at each other sweetly then she leans in her daughter, rubbing their noses together while giggling.
"Its very cozy, mommy!" squeals the little one while extending her feet comfortably since they are both sitting on the blanket on the grass.
The lady smiled then looks at the view of the river as she nodded. "Yes, sweetheart." She took a deep breath, inhaling the nature's warm breeze. "It is quite cozy." She says.
The girl looked up to her mother while biting on her plastic fork. Her lips pouted a bit. "Mommy, where is daddy?" her eyes sparkles in confusion. The lady looked at her daughter in awe despite from her question.
"He's always not with us everytime we come here." The little girl added. "Aww, sweetie." The lady put the plate down then she poked her daughter's fluffy rosy cheek.
"You know daddy is busy with work." She said with a smile. The little girl scrunches her nose.
"He's always busy." She said, the sad tone ruling her voice.
Gently, the mother caresses her daughter's soft hair. "Well, sweetie... You know how daddy loves us. Of course he will prioritize his work over us because he's doing it for us." She reasoned out with a reassuring tone and smile.
"Its still sad." The girl said. The lady paused for a moment. She stares at her daughter, thinking that the absence of her father is slowly affecting her. She heaves a sigh then a smile plastered on her face once again.
"Tell you what," the girl looked up to her mother after hearing her encouraging tone. "The next time we'll come here, dad will be joining us." She sad with a grin. The girl's eyes sparkles once again, but this time, with happiness. She smiled widely.
"Really, mommy?" the little girl asked with an enthusiastic tone of her voice.
The lady giggled, "Yeah!"
"Yaaayy!" the little girl giggled as well. "Now chin up, sweetheart. Finish your cheesecake so that we can buy you ice cream." She pokes her daughter's small nose. "You want that, right?"
"Yes!" the little girl answered with a sweet smile. The lady pats her treasure's head. Precious thing, what would I do without you?
