Trinette stares at the melting vanilla popsicle she's holding as she listens to Freya's sobs while sitting on the ground, hugging her knees. They're currently in a quiet alley behind their school where only a few students would come to either chill, skip class, smoke, drink, sometimes make out. Its still eight in the morning, class is already starting— as much as she wants to leave the girl alone, she chose to stay. Atleast I won't see my classmates' faces this early. She break the gaze that she locked onto her melting popsicle to look at Freya that is now eating her own popsicle while tears kept on streaming down on her face. She sniffles then she slowly looks up at Trinette that's just standing infront of her, looking down at her. "Y-Your popsicle is melting," she paused to gain momentum that she lost due to her sobbing. "D-Don't you like vanilla flavored popsi—" "I don't." Trinette answered with a firm tone, disabling Freya to continue her sentence since she was talking slow and soft. Weakly, Freya knitted her eyebrows. "That's weird," she mumbled but it was loud enough for Trinette to hear it. Raising one of her eyebrows, she asked. "What is?" "That you don't like v-vanilla flavored popsicle." Freya answered. Trinette kept her eyebrow raised as she waits for an explanation. "When we were in kindergarten you always buy vanilla flavored popsicle from that one candy truck that always stops by our school every morning." She softly said. Now Trinette remembers it. Ever since she started going to school, she's been seeing Freya. Although, she was never interested to approach and befriend her. Not until they reached highschool and Freya chose to approach her first but due to the trauma and everything she went through, she never tried to speak with her despite from Freya's attempts. Not until today, she hugged her and pulled her with her to buy popsicle and now she's with her— just watching her sob because of a boy. "Things changed." She coldly utter as she lets go of the vanilla popsicle, making it kiss the ground. Freya followed the popsicle fall with her gaze. She sighed. "But I bought that for you." She said. "I'll pay you back." She coldly said. She sighed. "Don't bother." Freya replied. "Fine." Tri casually answered. "You done?" she asked. Freya rubbed her nose as she looked at Tri. "Done with what?" she asked. Tri is currently stopping herself from rolling her eyes as she felt a hint of annoyance in her system already. "Crying." She firmly said. "Geez." Freya, already have a hint that Tri is annoyed, looked down then softly answered. "G-Guess so." Tri stared at Freya, she can't help but feel bad despite of her shallow reason. While crying, Freya was whining on how insensitive the guy was. Freya did everything, she made his assignments, his essays, his activities in academics, even gave him the answer of her exam which results for him to have a high grade. Freya even made him lunch once. But despite from all of that, the guy didn't liked her back. Heck, he even thought they're just really friends. Tri can't help but shake his head in disbelief knowing how selfless Freya can get if she's inlove. That is, if she's really inlove. "Wipe your tears, he doesn't worth those." Trinette stated in a cold tone making Freya wipe her tears right away, fixing herself. "Now be mindful and know what's stupid and not when it comes to your actions." She said with the same tone. "Boys are not worth it." She added. Freya opened her mouth to reason out but Trinette cut her off before she could do so. "Keep that in mind. Enough with the excuses." She said. Unhesitatingly, she turned her back at Freya and starts to walk away. Freya quickly stands up as she followed Tri from behind her. Tri heard her footsteps so she didn't bother to look back and see if the girl followed her. She looked at her wristwatch. 9:30 a.m. Well that was longer than I expected. She thought. Thinking that she was just with her for what seems to be ten minutes but it was actually more than an hour with Freya. Tsk, out of all people. Why did she grabbed me? she sighed as she closed her eyes momentarily. Its supposed to be our second subject by now. She stopped walking then she turned her head at Freya that stopped walking the moment she noticed Tri looking back at her, stopping her tracks. She slid both of her hands in her jacket's pockets. "Where are your friends?" Tri was straightforward as she asked those words. Freya furrowed her eyebrows. "Friends?" "Yeah," Tri nodded. "Those popular girls in school." She added. Freya chuckled softly. "Oh," she chuckled. "Hillary." She said, mentioning of her friends' name. "I don't really consider them as my friends." She blurted out. Not surprised but still Tri asked. "Oh? Why?" Freya smiled a bit at her as she starts walking beside Tri, she starts walking as well— keeping her eyes at the girl. "Well," she shrugged but continued to talk, "I just figured out that they made friends with me just because of my money." She said. Yep, I'm not surprised. Freya might look like a simple enthusiastic girl but behind those she's actually the daughter of the man who owns most of the malls, shops and villages in their place. He's most likely the mayor but he was never a member in politics. He revealed that he doesn't want to be involved in such topic which includes dishonesty and cruelty that affects the people in their place, as much as possible, he wants to keep his name clean, like a real business man should. And which is why I expect him to be a good person. "That's bad." Tri commented. Freya just nodded with a faint smile. "Yeah," she said. Tri kept her eyes at Freya, thinking— Guess life with money is quite cruel sometimes as well. Tri's attention got diverted to a car that stopped right infront of the school's back gate. The back gate is where teachers usually drives in with their car, and its close to the back alley where students hang around. Her eyebrows furrowed then she looked at Freya again as if asking if she knows something. "My service." Freya answered. Tri tilted her head. "You're not going to attend the class?" she asked. Freya plastered a small smile as she shakes her head. "Hm, no." She answered. Hm, guess it affected her too much. A tall man wearing a tuxedo steps out from the front seat of the car then opened the door of the backseat. Tri is quite impressed. "Before I forget," Freya spoke, making her shift her gaze at her once again. "Hm?" she raises on of her eyebrows. "May I have your phone?" Freya asked. Although hesitating, Tri fished her phone from her pocket then handed it to Freya. She watched Freya as she typed something on her phone then eventually gave her phone back immediately. Tri raises one of her eyebrows as she waits for Freya to speak up. "Call me if you need me." She said as she flashed a smile. Tri didn't bother to smile back, instead she just bobbed her head once. Freya nodded her head then Tri watches her as she hops in their fancy car. Poor girl, got rejected that early of the morning. She thought as she remembered what Freya told her that she woke up receiving a text from that boy replying to Freya's confession. Saying they're plainly just friends in six in the morning. Too bad. Tri sighed. Atleast, that's the only reason of her gloomy feeling. Not like me— "Ah—!" Tri hisses in pain as her hand immediately held her own head that was hit by a stone being thrown at her. She looked back with a piercing glare. "Hoh?" "Told you she gotten bold." One of the three girls infront of her commented. "Let's teach her a lesson then." F*ck.
