Cassidy's POV
After Dave left, I regretted saying yes to Nova. I planned to tell him “No” in private because saying it in public would be embarrassing. Yet, I just couldn't bring myself to say it. Nova was so happy and proud to have me.
I brought it up on the ride home but I couldn't tell him “no”. When he asked me if I liked him, I wanted to say no but I needed to ease him up with a compliment. I had only just said the compliment when he decided that was me saying yes.
