The joy I felt when she said yes to me was indescribable. Finally, I had gotten the woman of my dreams. I hugged her tight and lifted her. I needed the reporters to take good pictures of us for the next day's headline. It was a perfect plan.
Seeing the furious look on Dave's face was priceless. He got so angry that he swooped Cassidy out of the event. I was too busy reeling in the joy of getting back at Dave to stop him.
He had taken everything from me while growing up, including my parents' attention. Now, I was going to steal his girl. That wasn't the only reason I wanted Cassidy.
