Love Me Again, My Alpha

CHAPTER 12

Saffron

The thing comes in mind when someone says Alpha, especially 'Elite:

Extraordinary talent, outstanding intelligence, excellent build, above-average looks and super rich family or household and steady wealth all of that that society talks about; I was born with it all. 

My family belongs to a royal family. As the eldest daughter and an Elite Alpha, I was betrothed since child to a partner I never saw that came from a wealthy family. I was told that I will marry that omega when the time comes so I have to do everything I want before that time comes.

But that supposed to be arranged marriage was cut off because the omega that I was supposed to marry when times come was missing. According to my Dad, the family was robbed and parents were murdered. The youngest baby, who was expected to be a dominant omega was taken away as the eldest son, An elite like me was hidden by their mother. 

Years passed and the missing baby hadn't been seen, the marriage was nullified. Despite that, both families remained friends until now.

For me, I already played too much to the point that nothing interested me more. I could throw anyone and anything that there's no use to me. There is no such person who will awaken my interest anymore. 

But that's what I thought until I met this certain male recessive omega. 

"What!?" halos mainis ako sa sinabi ni Xen ng masabi niyang fully booked na ang executive seats ng last na eroplano na pauwi ng Lebnon. 

"I'm sorry boss," hinging paumanhin niya sa akin. "Since you are in a hurry, I decided to book the economy seat for you," aniya. 

Wala akong nagawa kung hindi sakyan ang sinabi niya. If only I could use my private jet, I could have left this country by now. Well, hindi naman masama kung paminsan-minsan ay maging isang ordinaryong pasehero ng eroplanong pag-aari ng pamilya mo, hindi ba?

I decided to take a nap when I get on the plane and wait for the take off. 

"Mama, okay lang po bang sumama ako? Para ayaw po kasi sa akin ni Boss mo," narinig kong sabi ng isang bata. 

"Huwag mo siyang intindihin okay? At saka wala naman siyang magagawa kung isasama kita," sagot ng boses lalaki dito. The voice was kind of soft, though it belonged to a male. 

Omega.

Iyon ang nasa isip ko. 

"Matulog ka na muna, Eon baka malula ka. Gigisingin kita kapag nakarating na tayo," sabi pa nito. 

"Sige po," sagot ng bata. 

Konting kaluskos lang ang aking narinig at tahimik na ang dalawa sa aking tabi. 

Tinanggal ko ang jacket na kung saan ay nakatakip sa aking mukha upang silipin ang aking mga katabi. Nakita ko ang isang lalaking nakatingin sa mga drawings sa bond paper habang masusing nire-retouch ang mga nakaguhit na. 

I examined the sketch and it was actually a set of jewelry. This guy scribbled some details and then observed it. The designs are very artistic with a touch of simplicity and yet full of elegance. Even without coloring the stone yet, I can see the materials that he has written there. Nakita kong kinuha niya ang color red na color pencil sa kanyang pencil case and started to color the big stone and the other small stones were colored white. At ng matapos ay nilagyan niya ito ng pangalan. The gold and white are both entwined to form a ring band as well as the bracelet and the chains of the necklace. 

I never saw a design like that. And I believe this guy is probably a jewelry designer. 

Tears of Juliet.

So that set of jewelry is named 'tears of Juliet'?

What a masterpiece. What an excellent talent. 

"Wow. Nice work," hindi ko napigilang sabihin sa kanya. 

Lumingon ito sa akin at nagtama ang aming paningin. He has the most beautiful pair of eyes and a button nose that can only be owned by a dominant omega. But I can sense that he's not dominant. 

"Thank you," nakangiting sagot niya sa akin. His red lips are becoming redder and it's like inviting me to kiss them. 

Alam kong hindi siya Lebnese for he doesn't have the appearance of Middle Eastern people. He's more of a Far east person. His eyes are the same as those extinct ancient Japanese people. He must still have the blood of them. 

"Do you work as a designer? In which company?" tanong ko pa. 

"No. And I'm not a designer as well. I was really hoping to pass it to the Alta Maria's. Sana pumasa," sagot niya sa akin. 

Ohhh.. he's not a designer but his designs are exquisite! He is a natural talent that Granda Eris needed!

"I'll bring that design directly to the Alta Maria if you want," sabi ko sa kanya. 

"Really?" surprised niyang tanong. 

"Yeah. I have a connection to the owner," sabi ko pa. 

Nakita kong lumuwang ang kanyang pagkakangiti. 

Ah.. Beautiful..mesmerizing.. I already started to hear the abnormal beat of my heart just by looking at his beautiful eyes. I could stare at them the whole day..

"I'm Cullen," aniya. "And you are?" 

"Oh," bahagyang gulat na sabi ko. "Where are my manners," sabi ko pa. "I'm Saffron."

"Nice meeting you," aniya. 

"No. It's my pleasure to meet you," sagot ko sa kanya bago ibinigay sa kanya ang call card ko. "Do you live in Lebnon?" tanong ko sa kanya. 

Tinanggap niya ang card. 

"No. I will come there for work," sagot niya sa akin. "And uhm I need a part time job too that's why I'll try to pass my designs to the Alta Maria's," sagot niya sa akin. 

"Mama, gusto kong umupo sa may bintana," narinig naming nagsalita ang bata na nasa tabi niya. 

Lumingon si Cullen sa kanya. 

"May nakaupo na roon 'nak, e," sagot niya. 

"Uhm we can exchange seats," sagot ko sa kanya. Either way naman ay makakatabi ko pa rin naman siya. 

Tumayo ang bata at naupo sa dating upuan ko. 

"Your son? How old is he?" tanong ko sa kanya. Base sa katawan ng bata ay mahihinuha kong recessive omega ito katulad ni Cullen. 

"Officially kahapon lang," sagot niya sa akin. 

"Huh?" nalito ako sa sagot niya. 

"I adopted him at kahapon lang na-grant ang request ko," sagot niya. "Mabilis lang ang process since recessive omega si Eon," dagdag pa niya. 

I get the words behind what he said. Recessive omegas are the least people that the government should worry about. Madalas nga sa lansangan ko lang sila nakikita. Palaboy-laboy at walang matirhan. They are useless for them. 

Mangilan-ngilan lamang ang may magandang trabaho na recessive ngunit karamihan ay contractual. Hindi nagiging professionals dahil wala namang free educations para sa kanila. 

"I see. Don't you want to work with me instead?" tanong ko sa kanya. 

"I can't," tanggi niya. "My boss has paid all my debts plus she allowed me to bring my son," sagot nito sa akin.

"Debts?" 

"It's not mine. Sa parents ko. I'm the one who's paying it since wala naman silang trabaho," sagot niya. 

"Wala ka bang ibang kapatid? Why are you the one who's paying the debts who isn't even yours to begin with?" curious kong tanong. 

"I have. A male beta. The truth is, yung utang nila ay dahil sa kapatid ko. Walang trabaho ang kuya pero panay ang hingi ng pera sa mga magulang ko. Naaawa naman ako sa kanila. So I had to shoulder it all," sagot niya sa akin. 

"Mama!" sigaw ng batang mahihinuha mong nasa apat pa lang edad na patakbong lumapit sa amin at masamang nakatingin sa akin. 

"Kai? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to sit with your daddy?" tanong ni Cullen.

"Mama, who is this stranger? Why does mama talk to strangers? Daddy said no talking to strangers," sabi nito kay Cullen. 

Tumawa si Cullen. 

"She's not a stranger anymore, Kai. She's my friend and her name is Saffron," sagot ni Cullen before he scoop the Kai kid and place him on his lap.

Ganun pa man ay masama pa rin ang tingin nito sa akin.

"Hey stranger. You plan on getting Mama and Eon from Kai? Bad stranger!" aniya. 

Napatawa ako. Of course the kid is an male alpha. Alphas are possessive when it comes to the thing or someone they already have. 

"Shh Kai. Nobody's taking me or Eon away, okay?" saway ni Cullen sa bata bago bumaling sa akin. "Sorry," natatawang sabi niya. "He's one of the triplets that I'm supposed to take care of," aniya pa. 

"Kai found Mama first. Strangers no get mama away from Kai, otay?" sabi pa niya bago isinubsob ang mukha sa dibdib ni Cullen. 

"I'm really sorry about Kai," hinging paumanhin muli ni Cullen. 

"I understand. Don't worry," nakangiting sagot ko sa kanya. 

"Kai, why did you run here?" tanong ng isang boses na hindi naming namalayan na nasa harapan na pala namin ni Cullen. 

"Daddy?" 

Hindi ito nakatingin kay Kai bagkus ay sa akin nakatingin. 

Her gazes are warning me to stay away from Cullen.

This alpha must be Cullen's boss. But why is she giving me these kinds of stares?

Heh. Of course I can see through her that she is jealous. Cullen must not be aware about this, I see. 

It's like I give a damn about what she feels. 

I'm studying precious and rare objects. When I found one, I didn't intend to let it go, no matter what. And I found Cullen, a very rare gem mixed with thousands of existing precious stones. That rare gem is  not that expensive but it is unique  and worth keeping. 

And If I'm not mistaken, this elite alpha like me is the cougar of oil. I heard about her earning her own richess when she was still teenager by selling ang buying crypto to online trading. And when she entered the world of oil, she become the cougar of it and has been known worldwide. I'm talking about Sage Marie Alazmi. And why would she hire a recessive omega that is from Far East when there are lots of it in Lebnon? 

Empress of the Oil is engaged to a dominant omega aftet rumored wife's death. So why is hse warning me about staying away from Cullen? 

Interesting. Very interesting.
