Roderic knows Lucea will be after his neck for the decision he made towards protecting her. But he had to do it. She will get used with time and stop complaining.
He came early to school and is now sitting beside Lucas in Lucas' car. He is afraid Lucea might see him if he watched her from his own car.
"There they are," Lucas peers outside the partially rolled down window of his car.
Roderic turns off his phone and puts it in his pocket. He squints outside and sees Tom and Mat, the two men he assigned to be Lucea's body guards, get out of one of his cars. One of the men, Tom, opens the door to the back seat and asks Lucea to step out, something that she doesn't seem to like. Roderic can see her make a face at him before she steps out, followed by her sister and Mia.
