When Lucea opens her eyes, she is shocked to see it has gotten dark.
"Roderic," she says his name sleepily, noticing she is still in the forest.
But the place on the bed where Roderic should be is empty.
Every trace of sleep leaves her brain as she becomes alert.
Where has he gone? He can't have gone back home and left her alone here, that's out of the question. He should be somewhere near.
