The return to the pack’s territories was quiet. We arrived home that the sky was now dark, and as soon as I entered the house, I went straight to my office, summoning my Beta for the latest updates.
Once he filled me in on the pack's situation, I looked at him closely.
"What?" he asked, feeling my gaze upon him.
"We have news," I told him, bringing my index finger to my lips and starting to swing with my chair.
"You seem all too cheerful," my Beta remarked.
"I’m not happy, I’ll only be happy when I have my Luna in my arms," I said, and he looked at me in surprise.
"What are you trying to say to me?" he asked, looking at me carefully.
"We think she’s alive," I said.
