Season 2: The Trials of the God’s Heir
---
Chapter 1: New Horizons, Old Habits
The journey to the Celestial Peak began with Shu being his usual chaotic self. It wasn’t that he intended to disrupt everything he touched; it just… happened.
The group found themselves navigating the Crystal Plains, a glittering expanse of jagged glass-like terrain. Each step reflected a distorted version of their faces. Shu, trying to be careful for once, accidentally stepped on a shard that triggered a cascading collapse.
“Is there a way to not let you lead?” Lian Hua grumbled, pulling him back just as a sharp column shot out of the ground.
“It’s not my fault the ground is aggressive,” Shu protested, glaring at the glittering landscape as if it had personally offended him.
Wen Zhao, ever the optimist, picked up a piece of shattered crystal. “Fascinating! These fragments resonate with spiritual energy. Perhaps they’re remnants of the World God’s presence.”
“Great,” Lian Hua muttered. “Even the ground likes him more than it likes us.”
As they pressed on, Shu noticed his rune glowing faintly. He hesitated. Was it trying to guide him? Or was this another harbinger of disaster?
“Follow me,” he said confidently.
Five minutes later, they were stuck in a sinkhole.

Chapter 2: Sinkholes and Secrets
The sinkhole wasn’t just a pit of dirt—it was a labyrinth of tunnels leading to an underground ruin. Lian Hua sighed heavily. “Only you could turn a straight path into a detour of doom.”
Wen Zhao ignored her and examined the walls. “These carvings are ancient. Look—symbols of the World God’s rule.”
Shu traced his fingers over the carvings, the rune on his palm glowing brighter. Suddenly, the walls pulsed with light, and a doorway appeared, leading into a chamber filled with golden statues.
“Treasure!” Shu exclaimed, rushing forward.
“Trap,” Lian Hua corrected, pulling him back just as arrows shot out of the walls.
“Why is everything trying to kill me?” Shu groaned.
“Maybe because you keep running headfirst into danger,” she snapped.
Despite the traps, the trio made it to the center of the chamber. There, a pedestal held a small, glowing crystal. Wen Zhao gasped. “This is a Shard of Clarity! It enhances the wielder’s spiritual connection.”
As Shu reached for it, a metallic golem sprang to life. “INTRUDERS MUST PERISH,” it bellowed.
“Of course,” Shu muttered.
What followed was a chaotic battle. Shu’s powers surged unpredictably again, turning the golem’s arm into a giant sunflower before summoning a rain of pebbles that somehow hit Wen Zhao more than the golem.
Eventually, Lian Hua’s precision strikes disabled the golem, and they escaped with the shard.
