Nicholas’ POV:
I did not quite understand what Allegra had to do that was so important to be left behind at that moment. She had seen how fast I had run to get her back safely. I thought there was nothing more important than that to be dealt with.
Anyway, if my theory was right, maybe Madam Scott would be able to track my father down by the note, so we did not have time to waste. I let Allegra do whatever she wanted at that moment and walked through her door straight to her mother's office.
