I kept walking down the path, but Gareth’s words wouldn’t leave my head.

The nerve of him. After everything, he still thought he could pull my strings, like I was nothing more than a piece in his game. If he had issues with Leander, why wouldn’t he settle it with him directly? Did he always have to find ways to drag me into everything?
My thoughts kept spinning around Gareth’s threat, and what it meant for Leander.
