Calvin was a gentleman and very sweet. He was listening very attentively to me the entire time.
"I hope you are having fun now," Calvin smirked.
"I am," I said shyly. He grabbed my hand and kissed the top of it.
"Good," he asked me to dance and we spent the next couple of hours dancing and talking.
Calvin and I did hit it off. We spent the next couple of days talking and texting on the phone. We flirted at the Pug Mug and had lunch together.
After two weeks, I let him join me for walks. I didn't see my wolf friend for some time after that. I saw him staring at us once but I assume he was too scared to approach us. I was sad and hurt that he didn't come around. I was walking with Calvin more often but my wolf's presence didn't fade or get replaced. My heart ached and longed for him to return to me.

That piece of s**t thought he could just take her away from me. She was walking with other boys now. My little minx. She thought she could replace me. I knew her heart longed for me. I didn't want to stay away or give him time to take her heart from me. I wanted to run up to them and bite him over and over until he died. I don't know what I did to deserve this but I knew I needed to do something. After seeing them the first time, I just stayed away and watched her in the shadows. After they continued to walk for about two weeks now I decided to leave for a bit. I needed to clear my head. I needed to find a way to be me again. I ran and ran until I couldn't.
Where did that lead me? To this f*****g clearing and this damn waterfall.
"This is where we said goodbye," I whispered to myself. "I wonder where you are. I would tell you all about my little dove. I would tell you how sweet she is and how adorable I find her. I would introduce the two of you and I know you would just love her as I do. You would probably tell me not to f**k it up as your husband did. I would laugh and he would probably try to hit me." I walked up to the pool of water and saw my reflection.
"I would take it all back. I wouldn't save you. I would be selfish. I would live for her, for me. f**k!" I knew I was wrong to have said that. I knew what I did back then for Hope and Aidan was necessary and was something I did with no regret. I was righting the wrongs I had made by them especially my best friend. I have had one hell of a life but I didn't really start living it and now I had my chance but I was a damn wolf.
I decided to run and look around this place. I wondered if Hope and Aidan were still here.

It has been two weeks since I last saw my wolf. I haven't been sleeping well since our last night together. He was a nice companion that made all the bad things go away. I miss him.
"Hey Elena, so everything going smoothly with you and your doctor?" Carmen asked.
"Um, what do you mean?" I questioned.
"Don't act silly," she said as she raised her eyebrow at me. "Tell me, is it getting serious?"
"No, no of course not," I said. "I mean, I don't think. Maybe he doesn't think." I was confused. I didn't think he liked me that much to make it official or anything. I was so nervous to even imagine going any further with Calvin. What did that even mean?
"Elena," I heard Calvin say as he walked in. He picked up a pug and walked over to me. "So, how have you been?" He had texted me this morning so it was strange for him to be asking me this now.
"I'm good," I said. He grabbed my hand and led me to a table. He handed me the pug who was fighting to get out of his grip and come to me.
"Hey buddy," I said as I pet the pug. His name was Vinny. He was so cute but the biggest trouble maker of them all. He always crashed into everything. Always made the biggest mess while he ate and he didn't share well with others.
"Elena, can I take you out to dinner tomorrow night?" Calvin asked bringing my attention to him and away from Vinny. I didn't answer right away. Calvin was beginning to look worried.
"Okay," I said out of pity.
"Damn it," I thought to myself. Why did I do this? Why did I agree? I like him but he is, maybe he is too good for me. I'm not ready for any of this.
"Fantastic," he replied. "I promise you will enjoy it. I hope you don't mind if I take you into the city."
"No, it sounds great. I'm sure we will both enjoy it," I said.
"I know I will," he smiled. We spent the rest of his break laughing and talking until he left to go back to work.
"A fancy date in the city," Carmen winked.
"It's not like that," I replied.
"Sure," she laughed.
"He is a good guy Elena," Ken said. "Don't worry so much and let things happen naturally."
"You never know Elena, he might be the ONE," Rachel said as she leaned in to kiss Ken. The one. Could he be the one? How would I know? How does anyone know? I broke away from my own thoughts as soon as the bell on the door rang and the pugs ran to greet our new guest.
"Welcome," I said. Suddenly, I saw the most beautiful pair of blue eyes I had ever seen.
