After much hesitation, Lyra eventually agreed to follow me back to mystic hollows. I had waited for this moment for a long long time now and it finally came to pass. First of all, she went into the smaller room in the house to meet her supposed friend. I couldn't get the details of their conversation but she seemed to be convincing her. A couple of minutes later, she came back out with a plain face that I was already sure she was going to reject my offer. Her friend had probably discouraged her from going.
She took a deep breath. “If you're ready then I am.”
