Adacus's Pov
Those with power get to decide the fate of those beneath them. I have always believed that statement.
Whenever I want something, I get it, no matter the cost.
My name is Adacus. I am without doubt the most feared Alpha in recent years. The only thing stopping me from claiming the entire nation is the existence of Alpha Bartlomeo.
He has always been a pain in the ass. Now imagine the surprise when my beta returned from spectating the Mating Ritual.
My Archrival's daughter is also my fated mate?
I trashed my room in a fit of rage. I refuse to be a means of amusement to those Elders.
"What do I do with this?"
I pranced around my chambers, thoughts racing through my mind like a whirlwind.
"Bartlomeo's daughter is the Luna's reincarnation?"
The moon's glow outside cast an eerie light, and there was this weighty prophecy lurking at the edge of my thoughts.
"Vemus!" I called for my right hand man. It took him moments to arrive. He knelt before like a good subordinate is supposed to.
"Get me the Seer."
The Seer was a banshee member of the pack. She has the ability to see things that others can not. She can see glimpses of the future. In truth, she's one of the key reasons why I am unmatched.
"That sappy woman." I was still pacing in my room as I waited for Vemus to return with the Seer.
I stopped moving when I got a whim of her scent. And true to that, minutes later, Vemus accomplished his task.
"My lord, you called? " I am 300 years old, the Seer was twice my age but she looked she was 20 in human years.
"Did you know?"
"No sir, Even us banshees have limits to our foresight."
"Very well. How are we with the cure to my illness?"
She frowned as she answered. "I'm afraid this is a curse that can't be broken easily."
I smirked. "That sounds like you know whatbthe cures are, I hope you're aware that nothing has ever stopped me from getting what I want. So, what's the cure? And where do I get it."
"The cure is not an object. The cure to your curse lies within the two women in your life."
"Women? I only have one woman!"
"You now have a fated mate. I am just narrating the cure to you sir."
"Continue."
"The cure can only be tapped by making love to one of these women. That's all that I know."
"What do you mean that's all?"
"You will have to search for the cure yourself."
I had no intention in being involved with Bartlomeo's daughter. I was ready to let my pack perish, I didn't have any family and I could always rebuild with my bear hands.
I have less than 3 years before the curse claims my soul. I was desperate and left with no choice.
"Vemus, prepare a chariot, I'm going to bring my fated mate."
I was ready to go to war again with Bartlomeo but I would not leave his area without my bride.
Much to my surprise, a clash between us Alphas was avoided.
He didn't hesitate to toss his daughter at my feat. I dragged her to the chariot and we rode off
During our journey back to my castle, I didn't care to spare her a look.
She was pathetic, crying like a baby already. If only she knew the things that I had in stored for her. After all, she is the daughter of my enemy. Whether he cares about her or not. I will make every day she spends in my castle a living hell.
We arrived at my castle and descended the chariot. My servants welcomed us and a woman ran towards me hugging me. I hugged her back with a smile.
Kristen was watched as the woman kissed me. This beautiful blond with mighty curves was none other than the true love of my life - Rhea.
We both looked at Kristen. She was flustered and astonished.
"Understand, while you're here, you're below my servants. So don't even think you're a mistress."
She didn't utter a word and simply nodded.
"You," I pointed at the head maid. "Take her to her new room."
She bowed and gestured at Kristen to follow her all while I was holding Rhea's waist.
This is just the beginning of her torture. Once I cure myself, I will send her severed head back to her father.
