Dancing with an Alpha

Chapter 6:

Carson POV:

I knew it was going to take some time for Dove to get adjusted to pack life but the way she talked with the members I knew she would be the perfect Luna for the pack. She was very fond of the children which made me happy because one day I was going to put a pup in her but for now that was a conversation to remain on the back burner until she was ready for it. I wanted to throw a huge celebration for her to welcome her home so I told my mom to plan something in 2 days. We would throw a celebration to welcome the Luna home which she was more than happy to do.

Leia wasn’t able to meet everyone as we have over 700 members in the pack but she got through quite a bit and overtime will soon meet everyone but for now it was dinner time. I took her inside, holding her close to me as we walked. She had a smile on her face and a spring in her step. I chuckle softly, “are you happy dove?” I ask her as I look down at her smiling self. She nods and looks up “I am, I didn’t think I would be able to do this. When you told me I would become the Luna of the pack I was scared I wouldn’t be good enough but…...I think I can do this” she says smiling. I grin and kiss her forehead, “Leia I wouldn’t make you do anything I didn’t think you could do and become my Luna is one thing I know you can do you are a strong wonderful woman and I believe in you” she stops and smiles tears build in her eyes. I lean down and kiss her beautiful lips gently “I love you Merlia with everything in me” I whisper she smiles and kisses me back with more passion “I love you too Carson” she grins and I hold her close to my chest not ever wanting to let go.

Merlia POV:

Dinner was…….interesting. I didn’t think there was going to be so much food but I guess wolves can eat a lot more than us humans can so Carson makes my plate before everyone else eats everything. “So Merlia” Carson’s mom says I look up at her from my plate. “Yes ma’am?” I answer back. “What are your favorite things to do, like your hobbies?” she asks gently, I swallow my food and smile “well I am currently working at the New York City Ballet, we are getting ready to perform the Nutcracker here in a couple weeks I would love for you to come see it!” I tell her happily I loved my job so of course I was going to brag about it. She laughs softly and nods “yes we will definitely come see it darling. How long have you been dancing?” “Oh my whole life I started taking classes when I was 6” I tell her “even though my parents were not very fond of my brother and I doing ballet they let us join and we both have been dancing since.” she lifts her eyebrows in shock “your brother dances ballet as well?” she asks curiously I nod smiling. “Oh yes my oldest brother Josh dances as well. We both moved here and studied at Julliard ma’am, I also studied Contemporary, and ballroom but I prefer Ballet. It's been my passion since childhood.” She nods, smiling “how lovely well we are excited to see you dance in your performance” I smile and nod my head then sit back and continue eating.

After dinner Carson would walk me to my room to get settled in and I just wanted to relax. I would pull him in with me and smile. I kiss him softly “I love you Carson more than I ever thought I would and thank you for  this amazing life so far I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us” I say and put my hand on his cheek. He smiles leaning into it then kisses my palm “dove you deserve the world and I will make sure to give it to you forever. I always want to make you smile and see you happy no matter what. You are my mate, my better half and I can’t live without you.” he says and I hug his neck tight I knew this was where I belonged this was home.

Kyle POV:

Glass shatters as I throw a cup at the head of an omega who dodges it. “What do you mean she’s gone!” I growl we have been watching Merlia for years. She was mine and I wanted her but when my messenger came back telling me she hadn't been home I was livid. Let me tell you about myself shall I? My name is Kyle Blackwood. I am the future alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. I had met Merlia when she moved to New York City and I felt a connection towards her. I thought it was the mate bond but I guess I was wrong. We started dating almost instantly and I never wanted to be away from her so we moved in and then I tried to mark her but once I did the mark didn’t stay and my wolf Caius was angry thinking she was cheating on us and found someone else causing the mating mark to not stay so I grew livid and made sure to show her who was in charge. I never told her about being a wolf but I made sure to show my strength when beating her. Every good Luna deserved to be shown that the alpha is the one in charge and if they step out of line deserved a swift punishment. Anyways after she left me I had to leave New York and find a way to make her mine so I have been watching my flower bloom and one day I will take her and show her what happens when she defies the alpha.

I leave my office and storm out of the pack house to let Caius out and run he ran for miles we needed to find our mate and get her back I had an idea of where she went as I was told she was talking to a certain alpha of the Diamond moon pack so I started to run to their pack lands as they weren’t far from us. You see our two packs have been in a constant war as they didn’t agree with how we ran things. If anyone steps out of line punishment soon follows them hence why we are called the blood moon pack because with the punishment blood is shed and some wolves don’t make it out alive.

As Caius runs closer to the land we can smell her beautiful scent of cinnamon and honey. It was perfect so I knew where my flower was. Her scent was tainted with the alpha’s of course but not strong enough meaning he hasn’t marked her yet. I knew I was going to need to take my chances while she was still unmarked as it would be easier to get her away from him. The mate bond isn’t fully formed so the pull won’t be as strong as it will be once he has marked her. Caius is cautious as he walks around the pack lands he wanted to see our mate but couldn’t risk being seen as it could start a war and then we saw her standing next to the alpha while he introduces her as their Luna I scoff “she isn’t your Luna she will be mine just you wait” I say Caius nods in agreement and then we run off to plan our strike and get her back.
