Dancing with an Alpha

Chapter 5:

Merlia POV:

After opening up to Carson and him telling me he was a wolf I felt….closer to him I loved him and it was scary telling him but after I did I couldn’t be happier. We walked back to his car I look up at him, “when can I meet your pack Mr. Alpha?” I tease and smile he chuckles, shaking his head “soon dove I promise just not tonight you have already been through a lot” he smiles down at me I nod and lean into him as we walk. Once back at the car we climb in and he drives me home. Saying goodbye was the hardest part I had just found out he was my mate and now I had to say goodbye I hug his chest “please don’t leave” I whisper I had been begging him to stay since we got back to my uncle’s place he sighs and kisses my head then rests his head on mine “I have to dove I can’t stay without your uncle’s permission to stay” he says softly I look at him then I run out and go talk to my uncle. “Please uncle Matthew can he stay? I promise we won’t do anything we aren’t supposed to please.” I look at him with puppy dog eyes. He stands there looking at me then chuckles “of course he can stay kiddo” I grin and hug him then race back to my room to tell Carson. “He said yes please stay” I look up at him he chuckles and kisses my forehead. “Ok but just for tonight” I smile and then kiss him before I grab my clothes and go change. Once in my pajamas we lay in bed and cuddle until I fall asleep in his arms. I listen to his heartbeat lull me off to dreamland.

Carson POV:

Looking down and seeing my mate asleep on me was the greatest feeling in the world. I loved this beautiful goddess of mine and I was going to cherish her. I wrap my arms around her as I hold her close to me slowly sleep would overcome me and I fall asleep holding her against my chest her scent was enough to help me sleep.

I was in dreamland dreaming of our pups running around my beautiful wife when I felt Merlia stirring near me. I woke and saw her squeezing her pillow as she slept. She was having a nightmare. I shake her gently. “Leia” I whisper as I shake her trying to get her to wake “Leia dove, wake up” I say a little louder she screams “NO KYLE STOP!” a growl forms in my chest she was having a nightmare of Kyle and it p*ssed me off I had to fight back Xy as I shook her harder “Merlia!” I say and she wakes up with a gasp as if she were unable to breathe shes silent before she starts crying I pull her into my chest and hold her “shhh it’s ok it was just a dream dove he is gone I’m here” I whisper. I can feel her shaking as she cries and it pained me. I wanted to make all her nightmares go away but thanks to Kyle we were going to have to endure these but I was going to be  by her side and help her whenever they happened.

Merlia POV:

After falling asleep everything was peaceful as I dreamt about Carson and myself and what our future could be like but then it shifted into a terrible nightmare. I was running through the woods but it felt like I wasn’t going anywhere. Fear ripped through me as I heard a howl in the distance. Finally I stopped in a small clearing face to face with a huge reddish brown wolf Kyle. His wolf growled at me as it walked towards me, my feet felt like they were glued to the ground. I tried to run but couldn’t. Kyle shifts back and walks over to me and walks around me as if examining my body. He grins an evil grin “oh the things I could do to this body” he whispers from behind his hot breath against my neck I shook, “you…...you can’t touch me I have a mate” I try to say confidently he laughs and looks at me “you mean the alpha of the Diamond moon pack ha! He is a joke his whole pack is just because they are the biggest pack around doesn’t mean anything! Once I claim you as mine I will make you watch as I burn his pack to the ground and then kill him in front of you then you will become my Luna and bear my pups as you should’ve, you’re mine!” he yells grabbing my throat I gasp and grab his arm as he squeezes everything slowly starts to go fuzzy but then I hear a voice calling my name it was Carson.

I gasp awake feeling Carson shaking me and calling my name. I turn and look at him quiet for a moment then I cry into his chest he holds me telling me everything was going to be ok but it wasn’t Kyle was coming for them and I was terrified of losing Carson….my mate.

After breakfast Carson and I went for a walk, we had a day off from practice so I was spending the day with Carson. We walk to the park and sit on a bench by the water I lean into him no one had said a word this morning as I think he was just letting me calm down after my nightmare he pulls me close and sighs “dove what happened” he says and lifts my chin to look at him I pull away and lean back into him “I don’t want to talk about it” I whisper pulling my knees to my chest he moves away and kneels in front of me taking my hands I put my legs down and look at our hands “Merlia please tell me I am your mate you can trust me with anything” he says then puts his hand gently on my cheek I bite back tears as I told him about my nightmare. A low growl forms in his chest which scares me but he stands “let’s go I am taking you to the pack lands I need to meet with my pack about Kyle and keeping you safe” he says taking my hand.

Within the hour we are crossing into his pack grounds I hold his hand and look around it was a huge area filled with beautiful houses he told me were for the families that lived there and the pack house was a huge beautiful building it had a modern feel as it looked kind of like a farmhouse but more modern with a ton of window “wow” I whisper staring at it he smiles and takes my hand kissing it “welcome home dove” he smiles I look at him. Suddenly a ton of wolves swarm his car. I look out then at him he nods and rolls the window down “Diamond moon please move back some” he says in a very authoritative voice they all move back and he climbs out of his side and walks over to mine. Opening my door everyone inched to get closer and take a look at their new Luna but Carson growls and they back up. I take his hand and climb out of the car everyone gasps and mumbles start up I take his hand holding it tight as we walk up the stairs to the house.

I look up and see Devin standing there smiling with a woman at his side next to him was a man about the same height but with blonde hair and brown eyes. On the other side of Devin were an older couple they had to be maybe mid 40s no older they looked quite young the man had black hair  and Carson’s blue eyes but the lady had beautiful blonde hair and green eyes. We walk up to them Carson smiles, “mom dad this is my mate Merlia,” he looks down at me “Leia” he says softly “this is my mother and father James and Lauren” I nod and smile “it’s a pleasure to meet you” I look at them both they nod smiling happy I knew they were happy to see Carson with a mate “you have already met Devin my beta” Carson says I nod “hey Devin'' he grins “welcome home Luna this is my mate Arina” the Girl had beautiful golden brown hair and green eyes she smiles “welcome Luna so glad to finally meet you” I nod “you too Arina” Carson grins he was happy to see his pack already accepting me “next is my gamma Lex” he says I look at the man he was quite beautiful but nothing compared to Car he grins “glad to finally see someone put this stick in the mud in his place” he laughs Carson rolls his eyes and laughs “he is also my brother” Carson says I smile, “I can tell you look alike except you have blonde hair” I say to Lex he chuckles “eh I think I'm better looking” Carson shakes his head and turns me around “and where is Avery?” he looks around suddenly a blur flies past Carson and tackles me into a hug with a squeal “OMG MY SISTER!!” the squeal says but before I can react she is pulled off of me I adjust myself and see the girl had black hair and green eyes Carson growls “this is my annoying sister Avery” he says putting her down after tearing her off of me I laugh softly “nice to meet you Avery” I say she grins at Carson “she’s so beautiful can I show her to her room please” he glares at her “no I need to introduce her to the pack now please go by mom and dad” she frowns then walks to her parents I laugh softly and grabs Carson's hand, “be nice to her” I look at him he shakes his head letting out an irritated sigh.

We walk to the front of everyone and Carson looks around at the hundreds of faces looking at us “Diamond Moon Pack please help me in welcoming my mare Merlia Jones to the pack, she will be your new Luna and I expect you to treat her as such. Now with that being said I will tell you this now she is human and is not used to being around wolves” he says everyone starts muttering about me being a human he growls and they go quiet “but that doesn’t mean you treat her with any less respect you give me as your Luna I expect your utmost respect and treat her as of she were one of us is that understood?!” he booms“yes Alpha” they say in unison he turns towards me and smiles “dove welcome to your pack” he says I nod and look at everyone I was feeling overwhelmed but I knew I could do this.
