Dancing with an Alpha

Chapter 4:

Afterwards I  take her to a nice restaurant, even though she protests saying she looked terrible. She was in a black leggings and just a simple red shirt and a cardigan with some simple tennis shoes on. I thought she looked like a goddess “my dove you look fine trust me” I say kissing her hand. I jump out of the car and walk over opening her door for her, I take her hand in mine as I help her out. As soon as she was out of the car she clung to me holding my arm tight and she kept looking around which worried me but I held her close “it’s ok dove I am right here” I whisper reassuringly she nods and we head inside the restaurant.

The rest of the night went very well. We ate. She had some wine. I just stuck to a simple whiskey and we talked. I got to know her a lot better than I ever did. She told me about her life in London and her parents. “I would love to meet your parents someday, maybe we can fly to London sometime” I grin, she nods smiling “I would like that very much” she smiles, god that smile could light up even the darkest of rooms, I dream of waking up to her beautiful smile. I planned on telling her who I really was after her show in a couple weeks but for now I just enjoyed the time I had with her as I was unsure of how she was going to react.

Merlia POV:

Spending the day with Carson was amazing. He always made me so happy and when he told me he probably wouldn’t get to see me today I was very sad but his surprise at the studio was the best thing that could ever happen to me. Then he took me out to dinner afterwards and I think I was falling more in love with this man. I didn’t tell him about Kyle as I wasn’t ready to share that part of my past to him. Honestly I was terrified of Kyle coming back but like I told Josh I was ready to move on and become a new woman and it was going to start with Carson. After dinner Carson drives me home. I hold his hand staring out the window. It was quiet between the two of us. He gave my hand a small squeeze. I look over at him “what’s on your mind Leia?” he asks with worry in his voice. I sigh and look down “I have so much to tell you I am just scared to tell you Carson. I want to tell you so much but...I’m scared you wouldn’t want me” I whisper not meeting his gaze. He would instantly pull over and then lift my chin so my eyes met his. “Merlia I will always want you, we were made for each other and nothing you tell me will make me feel any different” he says and then puts his hand on my cheek making me lean into it I nod. “Can we go somewhere private to talk? I want to tell you about my past…..about my ex” I say he thinks then nods “I know somewhere we can go” he pulls out of the spot where he had parked and drove off.

We ended up way outside the city and into what seemed like a forest. When we finally stopped we were deep into the woods and he gets out then opens my door for me I take his hand as he pulls me into the woods. We stopped at a small pond. It was beautiful and had some rocks around one side of it and there was an opening in the trees where the moon shone upon it. I smile “it’s beautiful” I whisper admiring the beautiful water. The water was almost crystal clear and stood very still as nothing disturbed it. It was almost like glass. We sat on a rock. I take a deep breath and tell him everything about Kyle.

By the time I finished he was fuming with anger but not towards me, towards Kyle. “He did that to you? Why didn’t you do anything sooner dove” he looks at me I look down at my hands “I was scared, he threatened to kill me if I ever told anyone he told me that I was his and no one would ever touch me” I say then look up at him “so many times it felt as if he would bite my neck when he…...made me have s*x with him claiming he was marking me or something like that but then got mad when there was a bruised left he told me I was an unfaithful w***e and deserved everything he did to me and for a while…...I believed him even though I wasn’t unfaithful I felt like I deserved it” I say tears brimming my eyes he looks at me in shock. “What did you say his name was again?” he asks “Kyle….Kyle Blackwood” I whisper his eyes goes wide and then he stands and mumbles something I don’t understand. I look at him “Carson what’s going on do you know him?” I asked, was Carson a friend, was he going to hurt me too?...No Carson loved me I felt it and he was different from Kyle. He turns and looks at me. I think it is time you find out who I really am.

Carson POV:

“It’s time you find out who I truly am” I say to Leia, hearing the Blackwood name angered me he had touched my mate and tried to take what was mine he had now proclaimed war and I was going to get my revenge. I looked over at my dove and she stared at me in confusion. I walk over and take her hand. I lead her back to the rocks and sit her on one, “I am going to show you something but when I do, don't freak out always know I would never ever hurt you ok?” he say searching her eyes for trust she slowly nods I kiss her forehead and then walk away a bit before I close my eyes letting Xylais come out. I feel myself shifting and then I am in my wolf form. I hear Merlia gasp then Xylais looks up at her and she has backed away and is against a tree. “Be easy with her Xylais, she is still new to this” I tell him. He whimpers and slowly lays down putting his head on his paws then looks up at her. She stood there in almost horror before realizing Xylais wasn’t going to do anything towards her. She slowly walks over and kneels in front of Xylais. He slowly crawls towards her to close the gap and he lays his head on her lap. I see a small smile form on her beautiful lips and she strokes his fur. He smiles and closes his eyes enjoying his pets. He was a big simp for his mate and I liked seeing him happy. “you…..You’re beautiful” she whispers, Xylais was a huge black wolf with a bit of white on his stomach and tip of his ears with piercing blue eyes. He was big but that’s because he is an alpha wolf but next to Merlia he was a gentle giant and it was funny seeing him melt under her touch. He lifts his head and licks her cheek. She lets out the cutest giggle then looks at him “can I talk to Carson please?” she asks, scratching under his chin. He would fight to let me have control but he runs behind a tree and shifts. I throw some shorts on and then come out I look at her, “he likes you” I smile as she stands looking at me“what’s his name?” she asks I walk over and take her hands in mine “Xylais” I say she nods and then looks down I lift her chin “you’re not scared are you?” she shakes her head “no but I want to know more about….you and what you are if that’s ok” I nod and smile.

We sit and talk I tell her about wolves and my pack which the packgrounds weren't too far away I told her that she was my mate chosen for me by the moon goddess and that one day we will mate and I’ll mark her as mine and she will become the Luna of my pack and then one day my wife and mother of my pups. That part I felt upsetted her I sigh “I’m sorry I got carried away I shouldn’t have said the last part I know after Kyle that…….” “No,” she says and looks at me “I won’t be scared anymore because of him I love the idea of carrying your children just I want to take this slow I don’t want to be rushed like Kyle made me do” I nod and cup her cheek “dove we have forever to think about children and marriage but I do have to tell you that now that you have accepted me as your mate and I you the mating bond will start to pull us closer and the urge to mate will grow stronger the longer we resist it the worse It will get it may pain you to not feel touched by me and as a wolf I have to warn you Xy and myself can be pretty horny at times but we promise to control ourselves until you are ready” I look at her with a serious face I wasn’t going to hurt her and neither will Xy we were to protect her until our dying days. She nods seeing how serious I was then I lean down and kiss her lips gently “I love you little dove and I always will” I whisper she hugs my neck and cries. I knew it was hard for her to hear those words and felt the sincerity of them so I held onto her and let her cry. “I love you Carson” she soon says and it made my heart flutter this was my mate, my little dove and no one was going to hurt her.
