"Where are we going??" Abi asked me when she noticed that we weren't heading home after we left her father's house. I smiled at her observation before answering her.
"We need to stop by the office." I responded calmly.
"But it's so late already, did something happen while we were away?? Oh my God, was my father lying to me again?? Did he attack anyone??" she asked in panic.
"Calm down already. He hasn't done anything to my family yet.
