CHAPTER 19
“It’s ok darling. You’ll be fine.” Sebastian had hastily changed into a gown and mask and was holding Olivia’s hand whilst Dr Khan and his team quickly prepared her for the caesarean.
“We need to move quickly,” Dr Khan told them. “I’m going to put you under, Olivia.”
“No,” Olivia cried. “I want to be awake.”
Sebastian stroked her head and muttered soothing words to her. He looked at Dr Khan and nodded. “Do whatever you need to do to keep them both safe.”
The anaesthesiologist wasted no time in knocking Olivia out and Dr Khan immediately got to work. Less than two minutes later he delivered the baby and quickly cut the umbilical cord that was wrapped around his neck.
