Dan stepped out of his trailer onto the palm-fringed beach and was immediately hit by the heat of the midday sun. It was sweltering, and the lack of a sea breeze made the heat even more oppressive. A perfect white-sand beach and the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand stretched out in front of him. He paused to take it all in.
He was on Koh Tao, a tiny islet with dramatic, jungle-topped hillside views and tropical coral reefs that attracted a vibrant yet respectful dive crowd. The location manager had selected the island for its privacy and stunning scenery. It really was paradise – all that was missing was Georgiana.
