CHAPTER 113
Georgiana had woken up on and off that first day. She was for the most part incoherent, but she seemed to be aware that Dan was by her side. She kept asking about Lady, not quite understanding that she was alive and recovering well.
“She’s hard as nails, just like her mum,” Dan told her.
The next morning, she was moved out of intensive care and allowed short visits from family members. Sebastian, Olivia and Hattie arrived just after lunchtime and took it in turns to spend a few minutes with her.
Hattie went in first and came out sobbing. “My poor girl. Look at her, she’s broken.”
“And she’ll mend.” Olivia hugged her. She went in next.
