CHAPTER 117
Will arrived at the imposing gates of Avalon House and pressed the intercom button. He looked up at the CCTV and made faces at the camera as he waited for the gates to swing open.
Dan was waiting for him when he pulled up outside the front door.
“Hey,” Will smiled as he got out of the car. “How is she today?”
“Not great.” Dan shook his head in despair. “She’s been in a pretty dark place for a few days. I can’t get her to do anything or see anyone apart from Lara, you and the family.”
“She’ll be ok,” Will replied unconvincingly.
“Will she?” Dan muttered. “She’s in the kitchen. Yell if you need me.”
