CHAPTER 109 Georgiana woke up on the floor in the pitch dark. She was groggy and in pain, and it took her a moment to work out that she was locked in a cellar and still very much in danger. Panic washed over her again - Wyatt had stashed her away in some remote location from which she would never return. She had seen the deranged look in his eyes. He had crossed the line that separated ruthless from downright psychopathic. She tried to stand up but found her legs and arms still bound together. Wyatt had removed the gag, clearly confident that any sound she might make wouldn’t be heard, but he didn’t trust that she wouldn’t try to escape. “Pull yourself together,” she muttered over and over again. She wriggled across the floor until she reached the far wall and used it to help stand up.
