“Oh my God,” Georgiana screamed. She jumped out of her seat with the rest of the audience and hopped up and down with excitement. She pulled Dan to his feet and threw her arms around his neck and kissed him.
“You did it!” she squeaked. “You did it.”
“Wow.” Dan was stunned. He was rooted to the spot.
“Go on!” Georgiana pushed him towards the stage. Brad slapped him on the back as he passed, and he was congratulated by a host of other stars including Cara, who was clutching her Oscar. The applause was deafening. It was universally accepted that Dan’s performance had been extraordinary and his award was well deserved.
