CHAPTER 87
When Emily arrived at Appleton Manor, Olivia was waiting for her on the steps with Alexander in her arms.
“Hey,” Emily smiled as she got out of her car.
“Hi,” Olivia replied warmly. “Come and meet Alexander.”
Emily rushed towards Olivia and embraced them both. “I’m so bloody sorry,” she cried.
“Me too,” Olivia replied. “We’ve been really stupid.”
“The longer we went without speaking the harder it was to pick up the phone. And I knew you would be busy with this little one.” Emily touched Alexander’s tiny hand.
“Well you’re here now,” Olivia grinned and handed Alexander to her. “Don’t worry, he won’t bite,” she laughed as a look of horror crossed Emily’s face.
“Say hello to your auntie Emily,” Olivia smiled. Emily was surprised.
