The press speculation was at fever pitch, and the Royal wedding was, for once, pushed off the front pages by the impending nuptials of Georgiana and Dan. The whole world knew they were getting married, but the question on everyone’s lips was, when? The Daily Mail and several other newspapers and paparazzi were camped out in Appleton Vale knowing it was imminent, and their tenacity was rewarded when on the third Wednesday in April, trucks began to roll into the sleepy village and through the gates of the Manor.
The Sun newspaper also had photographers on stand-by at Heathrow, and at the private airports in Farnborough and Bath to catch the arrival of Hollywood’s elite and the many sporting superstars that were on the guest list.
