CHAPTER 71
Andrea and Peter, Tom and Susie, Georgiana, Peppy, Hattie and Olivia gathered for Sebastian’s pow-wow in the drawing room of Appleton Manor at seven o’clock.
“We’re here because we’ve got a mole,” he announced. “I have my suspicions, but we should plant some false information and watch where it leads us.”
“Are you thinking the same person as I am?” Tom asked Sebastian. “Lucinda?”
“She’s horrible enough,” Andrea replied. “And she’s not the biggest fan of the Bloom family, as we all know.”
“We always turn down her dinner invitations,” Olivia said. “And Sebastian has embarrassed her on several occasions in public.”
“Do you really think she would do that?” Susie asked. “I mean, it’s her village too. Why would she want to encourage the development?”
