"Coming with you so you can kill me?" she screeches. Gosh, she's so stubborn and unnecessarily loud. "Okay, I'm done playing nice." I point the gun to her, finger on the trigger.
"You wouldn't," she says, staring at me with defiance. I smirk. " Try me." I c**k the gun, staring down at her.
Tears fill her eyes and threaten to fall. And somehow, I find it within me to release the trigger.
"What did I say about tears darling?" I ask rather softly.
She narrows her eyes at me, probably has something to do with the term of endearment. Do I care that she doesn't like it? Absolutely not. I just want her to listen to me so we can leave this depressing environment. I've spent enough time here already.
Looking around the now clean room, I glance at her. Surprise evident in her face. She opens her mouth to say something.
"Walk now, ask later" I interrupt whatever she was going to say, and open the door for her.
I'm pretty sure she wants to ask where the body is and why the room is suddenly perfect .
Well frankly, it's not any of her business what I do to my poor brother's body.
"How chivalrous of you" she says as she steps out and I follow suit.
"Don't mistake me for a gentleman darling, just wanted to make sure you were heading in the right direction. " I murmur as she leads the way to the exit. " I don't need to remind you not to try any funny business, because you will join my brother in the afterlife "
I could imagine her rolling her eyes. For someone who is in her position she seems rather comfortable.
The emergency room is busy, everyone moving here and there. No one pays us any attention.
It just looks like a nurse leading a relative to her patient.
We go to the elevator and when It's about to close , two policewomen step in.
I notice her shoulders tense.
Can today get any worse?
