Chapter One: The Woman He Swore to DestroyThe rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Blackwood Tower, turning the glittering city skyline into a blur of silver lights. Inside the executive boardroom, silence hung like a blade over the polished mahogany table.Damian Blackwood sat at the head of the table, his tailored black suit immaculate, his expression unreadable. At thirty-one, he had built a reputation that made billionaires nervous and competitors disappear from the market. To the world, he was the ruthless CEO of Blackwood Empire. To himself, he was a man haunted by one name. The woman responsible for his sister's death.A knock broke the silence. His assistant, Ethan, stepped in carrying a thick brown file."Sir, we've found her."Damian's cold gray eyes lifted slowly."Are you certain?"Ethan nodded. "After ten years... we're certain."He placed the file on the table.Damian opened it.A photograph stared back at him.A woman with striking dark eyes and long black hair stood outside a courthouse, dressed in a navy-blue suit. She looked calm, confident... untouchable.Aria Monroe.Age: Twenty-eight.Occupation: Corporate lawyer.Damian's jaw tightened."So," he murmured, "the ghost finally has a face."Ethan hesitated."There's one more thing, sir.""What?""She's representing the company that's suing Blackwood Empire tomorrow."Damian's lips curved into a dangerous smile."Perfect."Across the city, Aria Monroe closed the last file on her desk and leaned back in her chair. Her assistant, Mia, walked in carrying two cups of coffee."You should get some rest."Aria accepted the cup with a faint smile."I'll sleep after tomorrow.""You really think you can beat Damian Blackwood?""I don't think," Aria replied quietly. "I know."Mia lowered her voice."They say he never loses."Aria looked out the window."He will."She didn't hate Damian because he was rich. She hated him because she believed his family had destroyed hers. Her father had died trying to expose corruption linked to the Blackwood family. The case had vanished. Witnesses disappeared. Evidence was erased.Tomorrow wasn't just another lawsuit. It was the first step toward revenge. The next morning...The courthouse buzzed with reporters, cameras flashing as luxury cars pulled up one after another.A sleek black limousine stopped at the entrance.Damian stepped out first. The crowd erupted."It's Damian Blackwood!""Mr. Blackwood! Is it true your company faces its biggest lawsuit yet?"He ignored every question. Then another car arrived.Aria stepped out.The reporters instantly turned toward her."Miss Monroe! Do you really believe you can defeat Blackwood Empire?"She adjusted her blazer and answered with quiet confidence."The truth doesn't care how rich you are."The crowd fell silent.Damian heard every word.Their eyes met across the courthouse steps. For a long moment, neither looked away. There was no greeting. No smile.Only pure, unmistakable hostility.Damian walked toward her.The reporters held their breath.Stopping inches away, he said in a low voice only she could hear,"You've made a very expensive mistake."Aria didn't flinch."No."She met his icy stare."You are the mistake."The cameras exploded with flashes as the two most feared people in the city stood face-to-face.Neither realized that someone watched them from a black SUV parked across the street.A gloved hand snapped a photograph.A distorted voice spoke through a phone."They've met."A pause. Then came the chilling reply."Good.""Now make sure neither of them learns the truth."The call ended. The engine started. And the black SUV disappeared into traffic. The Billionaire's Most Hated BrideChapter Two: A War in the CourtroomThe courtroom was packed long before the judge arrived.Journalists filled the back rows, business executives whispered among themselves, and investors watched anxiously. The lawsuit between Blackwood Empire and Monroe Legal had become the most talked-about case in the country. At exactly nine o'clock, the courtroom doors opened.Damian Blackwood entered first.Dressed in a perfectly tailored charcoal suit, he walked with calm confidence. Every eye followed him as he took his seat beside his legal team.A minute later, Aria Monroe walked in.She wore a fitted navy blazer, her hair neatly tied back. She carried only a slim case file, yet her confidence made it seem as though she needed nothing else. For a brief moment, their eyes met.Neither looked away. The judge entered, and everyone stood."Court is now in session."After the formalities, Damian's lead attorney rose first."Your Honor, the allegations against Blackwood Empire are baseless. The plaintiff has relied on speculation rather than evidence."The lawyer spoke for nearly thirty minutes, presenting contracts, financial statements, and witness testimony. When he sat down, several spectators nodded in approval. Then the judge looked toward Aria.

The Dangerous Bride
Chapter One: The Wedding That Should Never Have Happened The church was silent. Not because weddings were quiet, but because everyone present was afraid. Hundreds of the city's richest and most powerful people filled the pews, surrounded by heavily armed bodyguards dressed in black. Outside, dozens of luxury cars lined the street while helicopters circled overhead. This wasn't an ordinary wedding. It was a peace treaty. At the altar stood Lucian Moretti, the thirty-two-year-old billionaire known across the underworld as The King of Shadows. He controlled shipping companies, luxury hotels, casinos, and a criminal empire that stretched across continents. He wore a tailored black tuxedo, his expression cold enough to freeze the room. He wasn't marrying for love. He was marrying to end a bloody war between two powerful crime families. The grand doors slowly opened. Every head turned. The bride stepped inside. She wore a breathtaking white gown embroidered with silver lace. A long veil covered her face, and every step she took echoed through the cathedral. To the guests, she looked like an angel. To those who knew her true reputation... She was the most dangerous woman alive. Her name was Seraphina DeLuca. Whispers spread through the crowd. "She's the Ghost." "They say she's never missed a target." "I heard she once escaped an entire army." Lucian ignored the rumors. Until she stopped beside him. For the first time, he looked into her emerald-green eyes. There was no fear. No warmth. Only a promise. A promise that one of them would not survive this marriage. The priest cleared his throat. "Do you, Lucian Moretti, take Seraphina DeLuca to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "I do." "And do you, Seraphina DeLuca, take Lucian Moretti to be your lawfully wedded husband?" She smiled beneath the veil. "I do." The rings were exchanged. The priest raised his hands. "I now pronounce you husband and wife." The guests applauded. Then... BANG! A gunshot shattered the celebration. The massive stained-glass window exploded inward. Guests screamed and dove for cover. Bodyguards drew their weapons. A sniper's bullet raced toward Lucian's heart. In one impossible movement, Seraphina shoved him aside. The bullet struck the marble pillar instead. She reached beneath her wedding dress and pulled out a hidden pistol. Lucian stared at her in disbelief. "You brought a gun to our wedding?" Without taking her eyes off the broken window, she answered calmly, "I brought three." Another shot rang out. This time... The war truly began. Chapter Two: A Wife with Secrets The second gunshot echoed through the cathedral. Panic erupted. Guests screamed and rushed toward the exits as armed bodyguards surrounded Lucian Moretti and his new bride. "Protect the Boss!" one guard shouted. Lucian drew the pistol from beneath his tuxedo jacket and scanned the shattered stained-glass window. The sniper was gone. Seraphina, however, remained perfectly calm. She knelt beside the broken window and touched the marble floor. A single brass shell casing lay nearby. She picked it up and studied it. Lucian frowned. "Who are you?" She slipped the casing into her pocket. "Your wife." "That's not what I asked." She looked at him, her emerald eyes cold. "And I'm not ready to answer." Before Lucian could press her further, another explosion shook the cathedral. The front doors burst open. More than twenty masked gunmen stormed inside, firing automatic rifles. Bullets tore through wooden pews. Guests threw themselves to the ground. Without hesitation, Seraphina grabbed Lucian by the arm. "This way!" They ran through a side corridor leading to the church's underground wine cellar. The heavy steel door slammed shut behind them. For a moment, there was only silence. Lucian stared at the woman he had married less than ten minutes ago. "You knew this would happen." Seraphina folded her arms. "I knew someone would try." "You didn't warn me." "If I had, would you have believed me?" Lucian said nothing. Deep down... He knew the answer. No. A loud knock echoed against the steel door. "Boss!" It was his loyal bodyguard, Marco. "We've cleared the attackers." Lucian unlocked the door. Marco entered, his face pale. "We have bad news." "What is it?" "Someone hacked every security camera in the cathedral." "So we have no footage?" Marco shook his head. "Worse." He handed Lucian a tablet. A message filled the screen. Congratulations on your wedding. One of you will be dead before your first anniversary. Signed, THE PHANTOM. Lucian's expression darkened. Only one person in the criminal underworld used that name. A ghost from his past. The man he believed had died five years ago. Seraphina read the message over his shoulder. For the first time since they met... Fear flickered across her face. "You know him," Lucian said quietly. She looked away. "I hoped I would never hear that name again." Lucian stepped closer. "Tell me the truth." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "If The Phantom is alive..." She met his eyes. "...then this marriage was never about peace." "It was a trap." Outside, thunder rumbled across the sky as another black SUV pulled away from the cathedral. Inside, a man wearing black gloves smiled as he watched the wedding ring on Seraphina's finger through a pair of binoculars. "The game has finally begun," Chapter Three: The Safe House The rain poured relentlessly as Lucian's armored convoy sped through the empty streets. No one spoke. Inside the lead SUV, Lucian sat across from Seraphina, his sharp eyes fixed on her. "You've been unusually calm since the attack," he said. Seraphina looked out the window. "When you've survived as many assassination attempts as I have, you stop counting." Lucian frowned. "So the rumors are true." "I don't care about rumors." The convoy pulled through a pair of massive iron gates. Ahead stood a secluded mansion surrounded by high stone walls. "My safe house," Lucian said. "Not anymore," Seraphina replied quietly. Lucian turned to her. "What do you mean?" She stepped out of the vehicle, her eyes scanning the rooftops. "They already know we're here." Just then— BOOM! An explosion tore through the front gate. The convoy rocked violently. Masked gunmen emerged from the trees, opening fire. "Take cover!" Marco shouted. Lucian grabbed Seraphina's hand, and together they sprinted toward the mansion as bullets shattered the windows behind them. Inside, the lights suddenly went out. Someone had cut the power. --- Chapter Four: A Name from the Past Emergency lights flickered on. The mansion glowed red. Lucian opened the hidden armory beneath the staircase and handed Seraphina a pistol. She checked the magazine with practiced ease. "You handle weapons well." "I had no choice." As they moved through the dark hallway, Seraphina stopped before an old family portrait hanging on the wall. Her face turned pale. Lucian noticed. "You know that man?" She pointed to an older gentleman standing beside Lucian's late father. "That's not your father's friend." "Who is he?" "My father called him... The Phantom." Lucian's heart skipped. "My father told me The Phantom died years ago." Seraphina whispered, "He lied." --- Chapter Five: The Secret Room After defeating the attackers, Marco reported something strange. "Boss... we found a hidden room beneath the library." Lucian and Seraphina followed him downstairs. The room had been sealed for decades. Dust covered everything. In the center stood a steel safe. Lucian entered the code only his father had known. To his surprise... The safe opened. Inside were several old files and a sealed envelope. Across the front, written in black ink, were the words: To Lucian and the woman you will one day marry. Lucian slowly broke the seal. Inside was a handwritten letter. «If you are reading this, it means I have failed.» «The greatest threat to our family was never another mafia clan.» «It was The Phantom.» «Trust no one.» «Not even those carrying the Moretti name.» Lucian looked up. Marco had disappeared. At that very moment, footsteps echoed through the hallway. Someone else had entered the mansion. A familiar voice laughed from the darkness. "Looking for me?" Lucian raised his gun. A tall man in a black coat stepped into the light. His face was scarred. His smile was cold. "The Phantom..." Seraphina whispered. The man spread his arms. "Congratulations on the wedding." His smile widened. "Now let's see how long your marriage survives." Chapter Six: The Phantom's Trap Lucian tightened his grip on his pistol. "The Phantom..." The scarred man smiled. "I've waited years for this moment." Without warning, the mansion lights went out. Gunfire erupted from every direction. "Down!" Seraphina shouted. She tackled Lucian behind a marble pillar as bullets ripped through the library. Marco burst into the room with several guards. "Boss! They've surrounded the mansion!" Lucian returned fire while Seraphina sprinted toward the balcony. She spotted three snipers on the hillside. "They're covering the escape routes!" The Phantom laughed as he disappeared into the darkness. "You can't kill a ghost!" Moments later, the attackers retreated, leaving only silence... and one dead bodyguard. Lucian looked at Seraphina. "This wasn't an attack." She nodded. "It was a warning." --- Chapter Seven: A Bride's Secret At sunrise, Seraphina entered an abandoned chapel alone. Hidden beneath the altar was a small metal box. Inside were old photographs. One showed a little girl standing beside a smiling man. Lucian recognized him immediately. "The Phantom..." Seraphina closed her eyes. "He raised me." Lucian froze. "What?" "I was an orphan. He trained me from childhood. He taught me to fight, to survive... and to obey." "Then why leave him?" "Because I discovered he murdered my parents." Tears rolled down her cheeks. "I escaped, but he never stopped hunting me." Lucian stepped closer. For the first time, he saw not a deadly assassin... ...but a woman carrying years of pain. He gently took her hand. "We'll end this together." --- Chapter Eight: Blood and Betrayal Lucian summoned every leader loyal to the Moretti family. The meeting was held in the grand hall of his estate. Just as he began revealing The Phantom's plan— BANG! A shot echoed through the room. Marco staggered backward. Blood spread across his white shirt. Lucian caught him before he fell. Marco struggled to speak. "It... wasn't... outside..." Lucian's eyes widened. "There... is... a traitor..." Marco died in his arms. The room fell silent. Every person present suddenly looked suspicious. Someone inside the Moretti family had betrayed them. High above the estate, The Phantom watched through binoculars. He smiled. "They're destroying themselves... exactly as planned." The Dangerous Bride Chapter Nine: The Last Betrayal The funeral for Marco was held under a gray sky. Lucian stood silently before his friend's grave, his fists clenched. "He died protecting me," he said quietly. Seraphina stood beside him. "We'll make sure his sacrifice wasn't in vain." That night, Lucian gathered every trusted member of the Moretti family in the mansion. "No one leaves until we find the traitor." The room fell silent. Suddenly, Lucian's cousin, Adrian Moretti, laughed. "You should have figured it out sooner." Every head turned. "You..." Lucian whispered. Adrian smiled. "I've worked for The Phantom for twelve years." Gasps filled the room. "Why?" Lucian demanded. "Because your father chose you to inherit the empire instead of me." Before anyone could react, Adrian pulled out a pistol and fired. Seraphina threw herself in front of Lucian. BANG! The bullet grazed her shoulder. Lucian tackled Adrian to the floor while the guards rushed in. Adrian was arrested, but he laughed as they dragged him away. "It's too late!" "The Phantom already has what he wants!" Lucian looked at Seraphina, blood staining her white blouse. "I'm not losing you." She smiled weakly. "Then don't let him win." The End
