(Evelyn’s P.O.V) Lilith Blackehart you get down here right now! Lilith do not make me come upstairs and drag you out of your room young lady! Mom, she is not upstairs. Then where is she Augustus? She went out to the fields at dawn, mother. She wakes up at the crack of dawn and spends hours out there reading and she cannot even make on time to get ready. Does she have any idea how important today is for your brother Alexander?... {Alex and his mate enter the room} She does mother, and she will be back. Cassandra will handle this matter, so please go get ready. The Morningstar family will be here any moment now, and I want you to be able to catch up with Elizabeth before the ceremony. Very well, Alexander. Cassandra, please make sure she has a bath drawn upon her arrival; will the hair stylist and make-up artist stay until she is back? Yes, I will ensure Lilith is back on time before the guests arrive. Cassandra looks down to her watch, it should be any minute now as she looks up smiling at Alexander and her mother-in-law. {Anthony enters the room} Dearest, let me walk you upstairs so we may talk along the way. Evelyn, you must remember this week has been a stressful one for Lilith. She did not want a grand party for her 18th birthday, let alone the same week as her brother’s Alpha ceremony.  Did you do not think I know this Anthony? I did not want a daughter, for the gift the moon goddess has bestowed upon her is a blessing and a curse. On top of the fact, she was born under a full moon on Friday the 13th. The Moon Goddess made her powerful, they will come for her and we must be prepared. All while we must uphold your family traditions while raising her, why did it have to be my baby girl, Anthony? They both stop in front of their bedroom door and he holds her close. He gently whispers to her; I am so sorry my love. Let us make her 18th birthday one that will be unforgettable. They step into their bedroom, and they pull out their outfits for tonight’s ceremony. Evelyn places her face in the palms of her hands and slowly begins to cry. Dearest stand up, you have been an amazing mother, teacher, and guide for Lilith. Evelyn looks up to Anthony with soft smile, thank you my love. Let us get ready to greet our guests dearest as he smiles at her. (Lilith’s P.O.V) I woke up at dawn to the strangest dream… There was a man dressed in the most beautiful blue suit I have ever seen. I could not make out his face, but his voice was deep and soft at the same time. It made me feel safe, loved, and for a moment it felt like I knew this man my entire life. He held out his hand and just as I was about to reach out, he whispered soon. Then daylight begin to creep through the blinds kissing my skin awaking me from my dream. I turn to look at my clock and its six in the morning. No one would be awake at this time, maybe I should go out to the fields and read before I can no longer have a moment of privacy before everyone gets here for the ceremony. I grab my favorite book, Jane Austen’s complete collections. It has seven novels and I have read each one more than once. It does not look like it is going to rain. What should I wear?... Oh, I know! I go to my closet and pull out my white summer dress, it has the cutest floral lace for the arms and chest while the back is a low V-cut to match my cottage core girl vibe. I grab my sun hat, my tote bag with my book and phone and make my way to the fields. After reading for what seems like a couple of hours, I get a mind link from Cassandra: Lili you better hurry back to the house, your father is stalling your mother. I have a warm bath drawn and we need to get your hair and make-up done stat! Oh s**t! I completely lost track of time, I look at the time on my watch and its twelve in the afternoon. The fastest way back to the pack house is to jump over the fences cut through the road that leads to the pack house. I really do not want to ruin my dress, but it is only a dress. I take off my sandals and my hat and place them in the tote bag with my book. I get in my stance and I start running with all my might. I jump over the first fence into another field with tall wildflowers, they are getting tangled in my hair, and stuck to my dress. As I am running all I can think about is how I love the smell of wildflowers and fields in the morning. I love being in nature, it puts my soul at ease. The second fence is coming up and I jump. It felt like I was flying for a moment and landed in the middle of the road where a car comes to a complete stop. The driver begins honking, I look back and smile at the car and I swear the passenger moved close to the windshield to stare at me and we just stared at each other until I broke away from his gaze. I begin running down the road to the pack house leaving them behind. I opened the door announcing my presence and my family was waiting for me of course. Mother, Father I said as I curtsied in my dirty white dress. Alexander and Cassandra start snickering and so do Augustus and Abraham. My mother raises her hands and the snickering stops, Lilith do you know what time it is? I do mother, and I am going upstairs right now to get ready.  Cassandra would you mind accompanying me? Of course, sister, as she smiles at me. As we head for the stairs, my father greets his best friend Edward. They begin to rough house when Elizabeth walks in, she runs to my mother as they start getting teary eyed from how long it has been. I turn to head upstairs and then a familiar feeling washes over me. My heart is racing, I feel my cheeks turning pink, I turn to look, and it was Arthur. My eldest brothers’ best friend and only child to the Morningstar name. (Arthurs P.O.V) We are on our way to Blackharts pack which is a six-hour drive from Morningstar pack. I am so happy for my best friend. Not only did he find his mate, but he is also becoming an Alpha the same day he is going to marry. I envy him, but the Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways and I was not going to question her. I think about what my mate would look and smell like. I think about her personality and if she giggles at her own jokes or when she reads romance novels. I look down to the gift I am holding. Arthur, whatever are you thinking about son? Oh, nothing mom, ha-ha. I cannot wait to see my best friend and his family. What about Lilith? said my dad. Oh, I do not think she will be pleased to see me, dad. Why is that Arthur? Well, I always picked on her and last time we saw each other the twins dared me to pour a bucket of ice-cold water on her and it ruined her favorite book. I replaced the book and wrote a little note on the inside for her. I truly hope she has forgiven me even though it has been quite some time since we have been to The Blackhart Pack. The driver comes to a complete stop as a young lady jumped from the fields and into the middle of the road. She was barefooted with wildflowers in her black hair and stuck to her dress. The driver honks and she looked back at us, as I moved forward to the windshield to get a better look. She smiled and waved at us, Lilith? She broke away from my gaze. She darted off to what look like the pack house, John speed up will you please? Yes sir!  As we approach start approaching the house, I always forget that my father designed and built this place with his company. It is a mansion, with hundreds of acres of land, and beautiful fields of flowers, fruit, and vegetables. There were town houses as far as the eye could see and where the pack may live comfortably on the land. There is a beautiful lake where the kids go swimming during the hot days. A park, a couple of courts for sports. My dad and Anthony really did a beautiful job here. In fact, it is not too different from ours. I notice the door is wide open. My father helps my mother out of the car as they hurry inside to greet their best friends. Anthony greets my father. They begin to rough house when my mother walks in, she runs to Evelyn as they start getting teary eyed from how long it has been. Then I see her at the bottom of the stairs, her dirty white dress, and she is covered in wildflowers. Her long black hair in lose curls, as she begins to turn, I feel my heart racing. She stares at me with those green eyes as if she were staring into my soul. Everyone around us start to notice, we were both in some sort of trance, but I could not break free, I did not want to. I slowly approached her and pulled out a gift for her. It has been a long time Lilith; Happy early Birthday.
