The Executive's Secret

Larissa sat on her bed legs crisscrossed next to her best friend Sydney as they both scrolled through their emails. "Syd i don't know if we'll ever find jobs at this rate" Larissa said "be positive Lar of course we'll find something" she said with a huge smile on her face trying to raise her friends spirits, "someone has to want us" Sydney muttered under her breath. They had been living together since their college days and they had always been close since diapers. An email came into Larissa's account, she looked at Sydney and Sydney offered her right hand to her to hold as she opened the email. Taking a deep breath in she slowly pulled her cursor towards the newly received email, "it's okay Lar just check it out" Sydney said reassuring her friend. Larissa opened the email and shut her eyes, too anxious to receive another rejection letter, she was pulled out of anxious moment by Sydney's high pitch scream and her bouncing up and down on the bed, she opened her eyes and checked the screen. There it was, she got the job! She joined Sydney in her screaming frenzy and they jumped up and down the bed hand in hand not giving a care in the world as to whether the bed would break or not, it was an old bed that they had bought online from a random person. Finally they calmed down and fell onto their pillows and giggled. It had been five full months since they had jobs, they survived by working part time as cashiers but that was not enough and now Larissa had a job and she would be starting on Monday. "lets go out to celebrate Lar" Sydney said, Larissa looked at her wondering how they were going to celebrate with no money to spare, "how do we do that Syd?" she asked as se propped herself up by her elbow to get a good view of her friend. "well, don't be mad" Sydney said as se got up to sit, "I've been saving some money so that we celebrate whoever gets a job first" she said fidgeting with her fingers. "why would i be upset that is such a wonderful idea" "you're really not upset?" Sydney asked as she raised her head to look at Larissa, "no dummy I'm not upset" Under normal circumstances Larissa would be upset but she knew that Sydney had a thing for spending money recklessly but this seemed like a well thought idea which was rare for Sydney, her friend was smart but in cases involving money all the wisdom in her head would disappear. Sydney got up to hug Larissa both excited for her knew job and glad that she had liked her idea, Larissa was a bit more strict and she had been the reason why they had managed to survive for so long without the help of their parents. They got up to get ready for their outing, first they would have an early dinner at a fine five star restaurant, courtesy of Sydney's saving and then they would take things to the club. Sydney showered first and got dressed in a champagne gold slinky satin top that draped sensuously across her torso, it had spaghetti straps tied into bows at her shoulders and she paired it with a sleek, black mini skirt that hugged her curves with precision and strappy stilettos in a matching shade of gold. She accessorized with a slim, black clutch and a delicate bracelet adorned with black clover charms and some drop earrings, finally she put her hair into a high ponytail. Larissa chose a completely different outfit from Sydney, she wore a deep burgundy blue short delicate slip dress that was overlaid with subtle floral patterns and had a touch of ruffle trim at the neckline, it clingged softly to her body hugging her like it had never done before. She put an oversized black leather blazer over the dress and wore converse sneakers to complete the look. She didn't take a handbag, preferring to use the blazer to store everything she needed and hopefully Sydney's bag too, she wore a few gold rings on both hands and ruby red earrings, unlike Sydney she had her hair down. "Larissa you cannot wear flat shoes to the club" Sydney said, Larissa raised her hand up to stop her from going any further. "I am going to wear what i feel comfortable in" she replied, Sydney gave up, this was a war she was never going to win, Larissa was a stubborn person and she just wanted to have a good time tonight. They headed out to Larissa's car, it was an old car but it got them from point a to point b and to them that was all that mattered. Larissa drove them to The Grill, a fancy restaurant that had a bar, you could only get in by reservation but luckily for them Sydney knew a guy who could get them a reservation the same day, it was not easy but they got a table. As they walked in they took in the ambience of the place, they were escorted to their table by a young woman who might have been their age and they sat down, eyes darting everywhere both of them totally taken aback by the beauty of the place. Even with Larissa's new salary they would not be able to come here often, maybe after every two months. Their waiter brought out their menu's and they both got pasta with some sweet rose wine, they decided to have it with their pasta so they waited while they took part in conversation. A few minutes into sitting their waiter came back to them offering them both pina colada's , confused they sent them back but she let them know they had already been paid for by the man sitting at the bar and that he hoped Larissa would join him there. Larissa was already facing towards the bar so she immediately saw the man being referred to. To say he was stunning would be an understatement, he had broad shoulders and a perfectly trimmed beard, from what Larissa could make out he seemed to be their age or slightly older than them but he looked nothing like the average everyday man, he looked like he was made with a mold then that very mold was thrown away so it could be just him. Larissa flashed him a sweet smile and mouthed thank you, he returned her smile and gestured for her to go to him with his hand. "go Lar" Sydney encouraged her. "Who are you going to remain with if i go?" she resisted, "you never go on any dates or meet any guys, just go I'll be fine" she said reassuringly. "okay but if i get weird vibes from him I'm coming back" Larissa said as she prepared herself to approach the man, " try to get laid" Sydney said as Larissa started walking away gaining herself a glare then she chuckled at her friend's response. In no time Sydney had a guy chatting her up at her table. He had intense blue eyes that seemed to see right through her, and a confident smile played on his lips as he noticed her looking. Mustering her courage, she approached him, her heart pounding in her ears. “Hi,” she said, a little breathlessly, “I couldn’t help but notice you over here all alone. I’m Larissa.” “Jasper,” he replied, his voice deep and smooth. “It’s nice to meet you, Larissa. I was just about to order another drink. Care to join me?” Lisa’s pulse quickened as she slid onto the bar stool next to him. “I’d love to,” she said, feeling daring and excited. She sipped on her pina colada as she stared at the gorgeous man she sat next to, she felt herself pool between her thighs, this was really not the time for her to be horny! he is a complete stranger and she does not do one night stands 'but he might be an exception' she thought to herself as she sipped in his image. They talked for what felt like hours, their conversation flowing easily as they discovered shared interests and a similar sense of humor. Jasper was charming and flirty, and Larissa found herself drawn to his confident, outgoing personality. He made her feel comfortable and desired, a heady combination that left her wanting more. Sydney approached her with packaged food and a tall young looking guy on her arm, " Lar you wouldn't be mad if i rain checked on the club would you?" se said as she got closer to Larissa and whispered into her ear, " I'm going to be f****d i need this please" Larissa failed to hide her shock as she gently nodded to her friend's words, "take the car, I'll uber home, i had to much to drink anyway" Larissa said to Sydney, she nodded and handed the food to Larissa before walking out of the establishment, she already had the car keys in her clutch purse. As if taking advantage of the situation or maybe not wanting Larissa to uber all alone late at night Jasper suggested they take the party to his penthouse. “I have a place not far from here,” he said, his eyes sparkling with promise. “Let’s go back to my penthouse. The view is incredible, and I promise to make it worth your while.” Larissa’s mouth went dry as she imagined what he might be suggesting. She wanted him, there was no denying it, and the idea of experiencing this man, this night, was irresistible even though normally she would reject the offer this man made her feel different. “Okay,” she agreed, her voice a little hoarse, maybe she too was going to get some action, she smiled at the thought of it.
