Mangus sprints with her in his arms and is met at the hospital by the pack doctor.
“In here, Sire.” The middle-aged doctor directs Magnus carrying an unconscious Calista with Cedric following.
“Ric, guard that door. Nobody is coming into this room.” The King commands.
“I’ve heard rumors, wise choice.” Cedric says before moving to obey the order.
Magnus turns to find the doctor checking Calista’s vitals. “What happened? I don’t see the usual injuries. Her heart and blood pressure are normal.” The Doctor asks.
“Doctor…uh What is your name?” Magnus asks, holding Calista’s hand and never looking up from her.
“Eric, Your Majesty.” He replies, looking at Magnus and seeing nothing but concern.
“She fell to the ground and fainted suddenly. We felt the mate bond, and then she fell.” M
