Lily had always felt like an outsider in the pack of werewolves she had grown up with. As the only human, she had always known that she was different. But when she discovered that she was destined to be the mate of Robert, the pack's future leader, she had hoped that things would finally change. However, Robert's rejection crushed her. His words had left her feeling like a worthless burden to the pack. Lily had never felt so alone and desperate before. So, in a moment of despair, she decided to end her life and jumped off a cliff. To her surprise, Lily was saved. She discovered that she was actually the lost daughter of the Lycan king and the heir to the throne. With this realization came the opportunity to receive training to become a qualified heir and to claim her place in the pack. Lily couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with her instructor, Sean. Despite his charisma and charm, he seemed to be keeping secrets from her. She pushed herself hard in her training, determined to become a worthy leader and protector of her family and lover from those who threatened them. But despite her efforts, she struggled to fully awaken her wolf. One day, while training with Sean, she noticed a strange mark on his arm. When she asked him about it, he quickly changed the subject. Lily knew that she had to investigate further. She searched for any information about Sean's past but came up empty-handed. It wasn't until she received a message from a mysterious informant that she learned the truth. Sean was actually a member of a rival werewolf pack sent to infiltrate and sabotage Lily's training. He had been manipulating her all along, hoping to use her as a pawn in his pack's quest for power. Enraged, Lily confronted Sean and engaged him in a fierce battle. With a surge of power, she finally unlocked the full potential of her wolf and defeated Sean. But she knew that her battle was far from over. With the knowledge of Sean's betrayal, she had to face the reality that her enemies were closer than she thought. As Lily continued to lead her people, she found herself torn between her duty and her heart. Despite Robert's rejection, she still had feelings for him, and his own feelings for her seemed to be resurfacing. To complicate matters even further, Sean's younger brother, Alex, had also developed feelings for Lily. Though he had initially been sent to spy on her, he found himself drawn to her strength and determination. And as he spent more time with her, he began to see her as more than just a means to an end.   Lily struggled to navigate her complicated emotions, finding herself in the middle of a love triangle. Robert and Andrew vied for her affections, while Sean, thought to be dead, suddenly appeared and added another complication. He revealed that he had faked his death and had been working undercover to bring down his own pack from the inside. He had fallen in love with Lily during their time together and had been torn between his loyalty to his pack and his feelings for her. Lily was faced with a plot twist she never could have expected. She had to choose between three men, each with their own complicated pasts and motives. She knew that whatever path she chose, she would have to face the challenges and obstacles that lay ahead with courage and determination. As Lily grew stronger and became a public figure, she faced numerous attacks and plots against her. She was determined to catch those responsible and protect her family and her lover. But with her newfound power and strength, Lily knew that she could no longer stay in the shadows. She had to embrace her true identity and become the leader that her people needed.

The ritual had reached its final day. No one seemed to mind that I had a little word with Robert before the party, and everybody went on their merry way. Robert let out a low growl, and I tightened my fists. Put up with being rejected and leave my life forever! I find it repulsive to think that you may be carrying human blood in your veins. Instead of bringing shame on our nation, you should find a quiet location to die alone. My blood was boiling from his nasty comments. I felt even more ashamed than I already was, and I did my best to hold back the tears. It's possible he was right. My outward appearance was doomed to failure from the start. Even though they had always told me I was an angel sent to them by the stork, my parents finally admitted to me on my sixteenth birthday that I was not their biological kid. Robert made an odd guttural sound from his throat, clearly pressing me to decide quickly. It hurt so badly to consider turning him down that I nearly passed out. I was a human who didn't belong in this world. Not everyone else was as courageous and strong as me. Stuttering, I said, "I, Lily Wayne, accept your rejection." The pain was so intense that my body shook violently. Robert gave me a chilly snort and gazed at me across the table. "At least you're tactful," he said. You're nothing but a toad. Don't come out of your muck and start pointing fingers at the rest of us. We became a couple on his seventeenth birthday. He didn't turn me down right away, so I assumed he was at peace with his lot. But it turned out that his worry was unfounded; I was just hanging out with the gang as usual. Robert moved away disdainfully and left. A small crowd waited outside. I think they were secretly making fun of me for daydreaming, but they all smiled and said hello to him. Lily, take a deep breath. Don't let them see you sweat in public. I acted composed and patient as they left, and then I bolted, embarrassed by my behavior. I had to keep my composure around the wolves, or they might attack. After years of preparation with them, I picked up their survival techniques. Even though I was a delicate egg that would c***k at the slightest prod from one of the pack members, I felt like I belonged with them now. Great friends surrounded me. They were always there to defend me if I was ever the target of bullying. When I was feeling down, they would always cheer me up. My mom and dad were the greatest people on earth. Nobody ever made fun of me or scolded me. When I questioned my relative weakness, however, I was repeatedly told that this was not my life's calling. All was lost, though, because of me. Is there a plan for Robert and the others to get the word out? Robert summarily dismissed the dishonorable man. Would this embarrass my family and friends? Perhaps he was correct. I was a useless piece of garbage who would bring disgrace to my family. It's best if I just go away for good and don't take them with me. My poor folks had been through enough embarrassment and suffering. Not even for a second was I ever a source of pride for them. Without anyone noticing, I quietly left the house. It was the party's final night, so they could be making fun of me behind my back. When I considered it, I got the chills. I used the moonlight to make my way cautiously into the woods. I looked down and saw that my face was drenched in tears. Rejection hurt, and the thought of leaving made me so sad that I lost control. When I cried, I cried a lot. No one would worry about garbage if they couldn't see the road. Many years ago, in the jungle, I should have died. Instead, I took credit for this joyous situation. I owe so much to my folks, to Ray, and to the rest of the pack. They showered me with affection. I need to get back to the pack now. All systems must be restored immediately. Like a smear, I wiped my cheeks to remove the tears. I planned to give them a perfect pack tonight. I took a deep breath of the night air via my nose and immediately began coughing violently. Even a slight shift in the atmosphere was too much for me to handle. How dare I claim to be one of the wolves? The person here now wouldn't be as delicate as I am if it were Ray or anyone else. The crowd was singing my favorite song, and I loved it. The melody reached me from afar, and it was like whispered encouragemented me from afar, and it was like whispered encouragement. I was brought here as a child by this tune, and I never left. This song seemed fitting for my final goodbye. For the last time, Lily, you must show your courage!’ With my eyes closed, I made the leap. The melody faded into the background as the wind whirled past my ears. By some miracle, I had broken free. Robert Pierce’s POV My initial reaction upon finding out that Lily would be my companion was one of hilarity and absurdity. I, the future Alpha, am set to wed a completely normal human. I mean, seriously? My father would not let me favor one family member over another, so I was unable to form any strong opinions. If the pack took her in, then I had better treat her like any of the other members. The biggest compromise I've made so far is welcoming Lily into our pack. She is not someone I could ever consider marrying. I had experienced Luna in the hands of an alpha. Unlike the helpless Lily, my mother was a fierce fighter and a doting mother who could hold her own in any battle. What would she do in a fight—be part of the cheering section? Someone more powerful than Luna was needed in our group. I would put my life on the line to safeguard her. If she had been a happy fool for so many years while being shielded by her parents, brothers, and excellent friends, that wouldn't make me any more apt to indulge her or become that shelter for her. In fact, I thought it was for the best if she quietly vanished so that she wouldn't keep pointing fingers at her family and friends. Despite my words, the hurt I felt from her rejection was still very real. To attend the bonfire celebration, I pretended nothing had happened and just joined the crowd. I numbed the ache in my nerves by drinking and putting on a happy face. Lily sat dazedly in the room. Even if she is crying now, it is probably for something rather insignificant. She was completely numb to this suffering. I felt worn out just thinking about it. I don't know why I'm paired with her. "Heh heh, who is this?" Isn't this the way forward for our Alpha? My brother Harry, who is a fine man, came over with a beer and a chuckle. I accepted the beer and chugged it down. When night fell, my heart raced even though the entire pack already knew I was the new Alpha. "Sibling, you need to lighten up a bit. The big day is next Monday. If you discover your soulmate by next Monday, we'll have two wonderful things. To be honest, I was afraid to meet Ray's gaze. If he knew that I had rejected Lily because she was the weakest human in the pack and that my mate was his dear sister, he would probably turn his celebratory toast into a fist and wave it at me. Oh, no! Inwardly, I let out a groan. There were a lot of people in the group. I mean, really, I could have found a soulmate in anyone. "Brother, it's not healthy for you to keep things to yourself all the time. Even though this is obviously a joyful event, you seem glum. In a few years, you'll be a wrinkled old man. Ray and Jessi toast his humor with a round of applause. My stomach churned with guilt. I used such harsh language to reject Lily today, yet Ray used to be a good friend of mine. What a jackass I was.
