Met in game : Unrequited Love

During the 2020's lockdown in the pandemic situation, Janet Davis, an 18 yrs old high school student was scrolling the Insta feeds and she saw a fan post of LoveO2O Jing Boran and Angelababy and wondered if there was really a game where people could play, marry and find love in game. As she started looking for "The Chinese ghost story game" from that movie, she found it but in Chinese. She got disappointed but still installed it. It took a really long time, but she was more disappointed when the app actually didn't open. She then looked for few games in app store, as the came across a similar game "Sword of Romance". She played it for a few days then as she was scrolling through the app store, she found a game named "Dreamlands". She didn't think much and installed it and registered via f*******:. She was new to MMORPG so had literally no idea of servers, regions etc. She randomly went in the then latest server s74 Asia Gleda. She didn't even know how to custom name and went with a weird random name "ViolaViole". The game was way too new for her but she was amazed by the graphics of the game. She found the wings, mount, ride, sword, cool even though she didn't know how it works. What she found the most interesting thing was the marriage system. Any two opposite genders with 100 intimacy could marry and could unlock the new born by completing Love dungeon. She struggled in the beginning to understand the game. The chat icon was in the left corner, the clan icon could only be visible when the skills of the character was hidden. There were 3 races in the game, Li Li, Ya Chi and Kun Lu . Janet found the game to be a totally different world. She started playing following the instructions and joined the clan. No idea why, but she applied to all clans...and was accepted to a clan named Warriors. She was warmly welcomed by the members which made her more excited in this new world. The people in that clan were all old players, so they help her understand the game. The chief of the clan was Yuji and his partner in game Yumi. Janet found this couple very sweet. She was deeply touched when Yumi said that she would help ViolaViole (Janet) in leveling up her account. Janet then told her roommates and best friends Kristen Smith and Kim Seo Young aged 18 and 19 respectively, about this interesting game and asked them to join her. By then, Janet already knew the basics of the game so she helped her two best friends understand the game and they progressed eventually. As time passed, Janet got really close to the couple Yuji and Yumi. Everything was normal, when one fine day, a guy appeared. His username was Lucas. Everyone knew the top player, Lucas, no one could beat him. He was the chief of the Top clan. Janet knew about this guy as well. Though this guy being a strong player, there was a rumour that said that he is not interested in women. He always had male friends and no female. The clan Top itself only had 9 guys who were the top 9 players of the whole game. The sexuality and gender of Lucas was questioned. He had never married a girl in the game and never spoke to any girl. The guys in the game envied him bcoz all the girls liked him. Janet liked him secretly too. Yumi knew about it as she treated Janet as her little sister. Eventually Janet made many friends. Few of them were Nazira, Alice, Emma, Eva and Rosa. They were from the same high school as Janet and her roommates but they didn't know each other by their real names. But they knew that Viola liked Lucas. They just didn't have any idea that Janet was Viola. The girls attended a well known international high school in Shanghai. Since there were many foreign exchange students, only English was allowed in the campus. One fine morning during the P.T class the students were said to rest on the ground after 10 laps of running. Some students went to freshen up themselves, while some girls went to cheer up guys who were having a basketball match. Some students were just loitering around the ground. After drinking energy drink, the three girls, Kristen, Seoyoung and Janet sat on the ground when they heard a short conversation between their few classmates. "Omg I heard girls whispering that Lucas is hot" said 1st girl. "Oh God, but I heard that Lucas is not into girls" added 2nd girl. "Who knows he's an ugly looking guy who doesn't want to reveal himself" shouted 3rd girl. Their talk was heard by Janet, Kristen and Seoyoung. "Damn! how do they know Lucas!" said Kristen "Does that mean they are in the game as well?" said Seoyoung "Wait! the girls in the game! So Zera as to Nazira is! Emmy as to Emma?" shouted Janet "AND ROSY AS TO ROSE! " Shouted Seoyoung. "That makes sense" said Kristen.
