    It had been years since I'd felt the true power of my wolf. When my mate Anna passed she took a piece of me with her and I barely survived it. Since that day though my wolf had laid dormant too broken by the loss, until I'd caught her scent. I hadn't even laid eyes on her yet and my wolf was already screaming and pushing me forward. I had to find her at all costs, I needed to be close to her. When I'd finally found her my blood boiled at the sight of Stanley's hands around her neck and my vision turned red. How could he hurt such a precious thing, something that was mine and mine alone? I could hardly function, driven strictly by the rage coursing through my veins. It was clear as well that my brother had grown bold during my absence. Now suddenly snapped back into my full force he bent easily under my will. Even Alphas were built on a hierarchy, with the eldest holding the most power and control in the family. 

    With my bother finally submitted and placate I was finally able to collect my mate from her crumpled state in her very frightened parents arms. I didn't know much about her besides the fact that her mate had rejected their mating and she needed some where to stay until he mated his chosen mate, but it was clear from her state that she was just as broken as I was even with her wolf's call shining in her eyes as she stared up at me. 

    My quiet little wolf followed me all the way to my truck with no objections even as her parents voiced many. All I wanted was to get her alone, and by god when I finally did not only did my wolf crave her but so did my body. The scent of her arousal as she looked over at me filled the car, and with every inhale it sent a line of electricity straight to my c**k. Between my growing anger for my brother and my now constant state of arousal I honestly didn't think I was going to make it through the car ride without ripping her clothes off and taking her in the seat of my old ford.

    I was thankfully to say the least when we finally pulled into her drive way, the short drive had felt like an eternity. The moment we were parked I wasted no time, turning the car off and rushing to grab her door for her. The look on her face told me all to well that she definitely was not use to treatments of the such. I hate that my new found mate had suffered so greatly in such a little amount of time, but I would be changing that very soon. I just needed to get her as far away from this town and brought into a pack that would surely except her. 

    I let her push past me as she headed towards the house, even as my wolf screamed to touch her and pull her to my side, knowing she was overwhelmed with everything going on at the moment and not wanting to be one of the factors adding to that. As I followed her and her parents into the house I couldn't help be notice that they had a very basic home, there was hardly any flashy items and it gave it a very cozy and lived in feel. It reminded me of the cabin I tended to escape to when I needed a break from the politics of being an Alpha, I quite enjoyed it actually.

    "So where do we begin? My names Dominic. I'm the alpha of one of your sister packs. We are quite small compared to most, but that just means were a close tight nit group. No I don't know how me and your daughter can be mates and no I don't care that she's is an Omega. Other than that feel free to ask me any questions you'd like and I'll try my best to answer them" I state as I sit down on the couch beside Cassie, draping my arm behind her and smirking as she nuzzles up to my side subconsciously.

    "Who's Anna" my little wolf asks plainly, catching me off guard. 

    "Thought we'd start easy, guess not" I chuckle awkwardly "Anna was my mate and my late wife. I lost her 6 years ago during the birth of our first child. She'd experienced fertility issues our whole mating, which is rare in betas so the doctors couldn't provide much help with the issue. Once she finally did get pregnant it was a fight to try and carry to full term. In the end though it didn't matter because neither her or the child made it through the birth." My heart still ached speaking of her but I would power through it if it meant giving my new little mate closure.

    "Oh.... I'm sorry" She said in a weak little voice casting her gaze towards her hands in her lap.

    "There's no reason to apologize little wolf. It isn't your fault and there's not a single question you could ask that would hurt me" I say as lift her chin to look up at me. I only received a nod of understanding,  but how I wish I could hear her voice and see that fire she directed towards my brother.

    "How old are you?" Her dad finally speaks up.

    "34" I respond plainly knowing no natter what I answered they could clearly tell I was much too old for their daughter.

    "34!? You're almost old enough to be her father" Her mother exclaimed not to happy with my response.

    "Not quite though. I know I'm not the youngest choice but that doesn't mean I can't handle taking care of your daughter. I'm still an alpha and therefore strong and can provide good genes when it comes to expanding your family" I explain with a shrug.

    "I don't doubt you can protect her but what will people think? Not only will an alpha be mating omega which has never been heard of but now everyone will see our daughter with a heavily tattooed grown man. They'll call her a harlot and say she only a play thing for you" Her mom whined exaggeratedly.

    "Trust me ma'am no one will consider her as a play thing. I plan to make it known that I will be mating her as soon as I possibly can, both with my mark and my seed" I smirk and glance over at my mate. Yet again she is squirming under my gaze with a whole new flush covering her face.

    "And how do we know she'll live through the mating?" Her dad chimed in cutting her mother's off from being able to comment on my statement.  "Like my wife pointed out, there's no known Alpha and Omega matings. How do we know she'll be strong enough to take your bite as well as not break under your touch?"

    "I can't answer you on the bite, but I can assure you that I plan to be gentle... at least for our first mating" I state crossing my arms across my chest now aggravated that he would assume that I would even consider hurting her.

    "Well it seems that we don't have much of a choice in the matter. We can't physically stop you from taking her, so it basically falls on her shoulders to decided." Her father states sensibly looking from me to Cassie. "What do you want sweetie?"

    His question obviously caught her off guard and she started to look panic. "Um well I don't know. I'm just so confused with all this. I don't want to leave you two, but my wolf wants me to go. I really don't want to lose yet another mate either. I don't know how its possible but I feel a connection with Dominic. Yes I still greave Axle but I can hardly even think of him since Dominic entered the room" she explained frantically and I couldn't help but place a hand on her thigh trying my best to sooth her.

    "I won't force you to come but I won't leave without you. I don't think I physically could even if I wanted to" I admit to her, squeezing her thigh slightly.

    "I want to go with you. I need to go with you. I have to get away from here even if it is for just a little while. I can't focus with my wolf being pulled in two different direction" She said shaving her head obviously trying to clear her thoughts.

    "Then we'll leave little wolf. We can  start packing your stuff and be on the road in just a few hours" I say with a grin, overjoyed due to the fact that she was choosing me at least for the time being. My next goal would be marking her as mine and making sure she never thought of that Axle kid again.
