Time to be strong

The nurse approaches alleys room, shes gasps "what whe..where is alley" shes in shock to see the room is empty she looks around and begins running to find the doctor or a nurse or someone but the desk is empty. She begins running down the halls eyes filled with tears, she runs into steven. Shes lifts her head and as shes shivering with tears streaming down her face she ask "what happened to alley". Doctor steven holds her by her shoulders and explains that she didnt make it, "im so sorry paige if this is to much for you i wont count anything against u then you may leave for today". Paige begins sobbing "I dont know how to feel right now doctor steven I think I might go thank u for understanding". Steven "your welcome paige I will go tell jack everything, please reach out to me if u need anything". Paige tells steven "thank you" as she grabs her belongings and leaves. Steven takes a deep breath and wipes his tears, I need to be strong for this man I know how difficult this is gonna be and I have no clue how to help him but I will do my best. Steven begins approaching the grieving room he hears jack sobbing on the floor he starts to tear up and takes his sleeve to wipe his face. Steven gently knocks; jack jolts up nurse paige is that you! Steven answers "no jack this is doctor steven". Jacks swings the door open and widens his red puffy eyes "can I see alley is alley okay"! Steven slowly grabs jacks hands and places them together and softly says jack lets take a seat please. Jack begins sobbing even harder bc he know this isnt good. Jacks trys to walk to the couch and falls to the ground tears streaming he begins to speak as words cant fully come out as hes loosing his voice "is she alive"... steven slowly sits on the ground with his hand over his knees and says "im so sorry jack alley didnt make it", "we really tried to do everything we could" as he begins to sob. Jack looses all feeling and cant produce anymore tears "can.. you.. tell.. me why this happened"... he says softly. Steven places he hand on jacks back yes of course she was healthy this wasnt from any diseases or anything like that she just lost to much blood from giving birth he says gently... jacks says "okay doc thanks" hes so lost for words and has lost all energy to feel anymore or speak. Doctor steven slowly gets off the ground and asks jack if he would like to have his baby. Jack replys "im sorry doc not right now i need to gather myself before I hold her again". Steven "okay jack I understand take as much time as u need I will have a nurse come back and bring u some drinks and food to snack on". Jack "thanks doc". Steven begins to slowly close the door and finds a nurse tells her "in a few hours please provide jack with some food and drinks and make sure noone goes into that room", the nurse nods and begins to continue working.
