Jack picks himself off the ground and inches his way to the couch he takes a deep breath and starts to tear up again. How can this be I have to lose the only live of my life to have a daughter.. why would u take away the only person who means the world to me.. I have to now take care of this child without you and I have no clue how im supposed to do this.. I guess this is it I know this is what u wanted so I will honor u by being a great father bc now she is all I have left of you. Even though it saddened me that I had to lose you in the process.. the nurse knock on the door "Mr. Jack is it okay to come in". Jack "yes u may", the nurse quietly opens the door and brings in a cart with drinks and snack she says "if u need anything else let us know". Jack nods and before she leaves he asks "may i have my daughter". The nurse smirks and says "yes of course ill be right back" then proceeds to close the door. Jacks waiting as his hand are shaking he grabs a water off the carts and chugs it. The nurse knocks and slowly walks in with the baby in her arms. Jacks places the water on the table and approaches the nurse then gently takes the baby and places her in his hands. The nurse smiles and says "okay ill give you two some time".
Jack nods and as the nurse leaves the room. Jack looks down at aleina in disbelief this is all he has left. He goes to the couch and sits down gently rocking her. Jack rubs his hand softly over her head and rubs his fingers over her rosey cheeks. He begins smiling and thinking of how their life would of been if she wouldnt have died. After a while he falls asleep with aleina in his arms, the sun rises and doctor steven quietly enters the room. He taps jack on his shoulder, jack wakes up in shock and asks "is everything okay". Steven said "yes everything is fine we have some papers for u and we are going to discharge u so u and aleina can go home and create some memories". Jack nodded and took the papers filled them out and had his sister pick him up.
