Chapter 3: The Kiss

1104 Words
Perseus Pov In front of me, the white werewolf killed the rogues and fled. I made an attempt to pursue whoever it was, but she vanished in an instant. I am positive that the white wolf is a she-wolf and that she is casting a spell. Similar to the rogue, she is capable of casting a concealment spell. She seems out of the norm. I can infer that she is a hybrid based on the fact that she can cast spells and moves at such a fast rate. Who is she, and why did she do that? "We've already moved their bodies beyond the border, Alpha," my thoughts were interrupted when Jasper approached me. Johann asked me, "After they tried to attack our pack, are you sure we're going to let them live?" I advised them to allow some of the criminals to live, to warn their leader that they would suffer consequences if they attempted to cross our border once more. I added grimly, "Tell their boss what we can do, and if they do not heed my warning and try to attack us again, we will be attacking their area, and I'm going to murder them all." Jasper asked once more, "How about that she-wolf?" They also witnessed the murder of the gifted rogue by a white she-wolf in front of me. Johann also questioned, "Obviously, that female-wolf is a hybrid, but what is she doing here in our pack? And why did she help us?" "She crossed our border without authorization despite the fact that we are unsure whether she is an enemy or not. The next time we encounter her, we will have to deal with her as well." I responded. Johann rubbed his chin, "Hmmm... I'm interested in knowing her." Jasper said, "So, the next time she comes into our zone, we've got to catch her." "Yes, but for the moment, let's make sure that no rogues penetrate our domain once again." They heard what I said. But in the back of my mind, I was considering that enigmatic hybrid she-wolf and her motivation for doing so. Why did she lend a hand to us? What is she doing in our pack? And finally, who is she? ***** Johann looked around the house, "We already double the guards on our borders, Alpha, and we already encourage everyone to stay alert all the time." "Are you looking for someone? I questioned him. While we were heading to my office, Johann answered without looking at me, "Yes, I'm looking for Cyan." I asked him again, "Why are you looking for my slave?" "You mean our pack slave?" he asked. "I only want to ask her to make some food for me. You know, we just got over a fight, so I want to stuff myself with some of her delectable food." He explained. I furrowed my brow at what I had heard from my beta. Percy the inner wolf is also snarling inside of me, and it appears that he wants to attack Johann. I suppose I must deal with these two. They appear to be curious about my new slave. I asked Johann, "Why do you want to take meals from that servant when you used to ask Marriam to prepare for you?" He asked, "What's wrong with that?" My cousin Hyacinth came in and said, "What's with that slave? "It seems like you two are both affected by her." I grumbled, "I'm neither affected by her nor interested in her." Hyacinth responded with a smile, "Oh,really, but you sound defensive." Being my cousin, she is the only person who has the temerity to tease me. "Are you saying that our Alpha has feelings for his slave," Johann exclaimed. "It's not inconceivable whether our Alpha will approve of Cyan, who appears to be no ordinary she-wolf." He said. I wanted to wring his neck as my eyes widened. I exclaimed, "I don't like her." "Really? I'd like to meet that slave and find out what makes her unique enough to be chosen as our Alpha's slave," Hyacinth said, grinning. "Actually, I was looking for her so I could ask her to make me some food. I'm going to ask Marriam where she is." Johann remarked, disregarding my look. "Just head to the kitchen and eat! I glared at him, "I'll just go and talk to Jasper. It looks like my beta is busy with that slave." Hyacinth said to me, "I heard about that hybrid that interfered with your combat and killed the gifted rogue. We can speak about that rubbish while eating." "I glared at Johann and said, "So, someone previously told you about it." Johann asked, "What's wrong with that? I just told Hya about what happened during our fight with the rogue." I informed him, "We are supposed to talk about everything with others." Johann said to me, "Fine, I'm sorry for talking so much. Now, can I go to seek Cyan?" "Whatever you desire, do it. Hey, feel free to accompany him. Just stop making up stories about how I like that slave." Before she spreads false information to everyone, I need to make it plain to her. Hyacinth pulled Johann out of my office, "Okay! Let's go Johann. I'm anxious to meet her!" Hyacinth exclaimed. As I leaned back in my chair to rest, I sighed. Rather than fighting adversaries, it is much more demanding to converse with them. My inner wolf and beta haven't been dealt with yet. Hya, my cousin, has now entered the picture and is causing me more stress. I suppose I should take a break right now. In my office, I made the decision to snooze. I am fully aware of my current sleep duration. If I'm dreaming or not, I'm not sure. Even though my eyes were still closed, I could sense someone sitting on my lap. My nape was being touched by hands. My lips are being touched by someone else's lips. Kissing me? And that smell. I recognize it. When I recognize whose smell it is, I quickly open my eyes. I opened my eyes, but there was nobody there. Am I really dreaming? But that smell. I believe I have already smelled it. And I can still feel those lips on mine. I stood up from my chair and gazed around my office while touching my lips. But I didn't actually see anyone. Both the window and the door were shut. My awareness was heightened, although nobody appeared to be around her in my office. Does this imply that I am merely dreaming a while ago?
