“Fuck.” I heard him cursed that made me smirked. Hinawakan ko sya sa kwelyo ng uniform nya at hinatak pa palapit para mas palalimin ang halik. We’re just kissing aggressively in a vacant and dark room. I almost moan when he gently put his hand on my neck like he’s choking me. Hinapit nya pa ako palapit na masaya ko namang sinunod. The Norse Goddess of faith and destiny. She’s so madaya sometimes, kasi kami ay naglalakad habang sya ay nakakalipad. She can also see the future. Thanara, daughter of Hel. The Ruler of the underworld. She’s creepy sometimes because she can talk to the death people that we can’t see. My ghost friend nga yan e, so sometimes she’s talking to someone that can’t be seen with bear eyes. And me, Sapphire Linnaea, daughter of Thor. I don’t really understand my father. He named me Sapphire but my eyes are red. Ayoko sa kulay ng mata ko kapag sinasama kami ni Hel sa underworld dahil kakulay ng mata ko ang paboritong alaga ng tatay nya. “Students, proceed to the gymnasium.” Napalingon kami sa labas dahil paulit ulit iyong naririnig sa mga speakers. “Pupunta ba tayo?” Tanong ni Thanara. Nagkatinginan pa kaming lahat ng mga ilang minuto bago sabay sabay na lumabas. Nasa tabi lang ng bahay namin ang dorm ng mga normal students. I mean, we’re all normal students here but—whatever. I stopped on my tracks because I forgot something. Wala na din ako non sa bulsa ng blazer ko. Babalik na sana ako dorm namin ng abutan ako ni Thrax ng lollipop. “You have one!” Masaya kong sabi sa kanya at agad na kinuha ang lollipop, he even opened it for me. “Thankie!” Nagpatuloy na kami sa paglalakad papuntang gymnasium. Wala pa kaming ginagawa ay tumatabi na ang mga tao sa dadaanan namin. Nasanay na siguro kami na ganito maglakad, Eleena—Loki—Me—Freya—Thanara. Nasa dulo si Thanara kasi one time, pinausog nya ako ng kaunti dahil tatabi daw sa kanya ang friend nya. I can’t see it! “I can’t believe that the gymnasium is freaking far.” Reklamo ni Eleena kaya napatango naman ako. “Bakit kasi nasa harap iyon ng school? Don’t worry guys, ipapalipat ko for us.” I joked and laughed. But seriously? I can do it. But why would I? Yes, I am privileged. But that’s not enough reason for me to do things for my own good. But that just works on some things. Nang makarating kami sa harap ng gymnasium ay nandoon din ang mga royalties ng Roman. I don’t know but they’re too kind to the point that—look at them. Hindi sila makapasok sa loob kasi binabati nila pabalik lahat ng bumabati sa kanila. Papasok na sana ako ng bigla akong hawakan ng kung sino sa braso. I slowly look at someone’s hand on my arm. I’m just looking at it. I didn’t realized na kumukulog at kumikidlat na pala. I glance at the beholder of the hand. “Who are you?” I asked seriously, kasabay ng kulog at kidlat.
