The Special Alpha Twin

Chapter 2

Jason POV

Today was the day our pack was going over to the Night Moon Pack with what was left of our pack and its members. I was thankful that Alpha Damien had offered his assistance. I knew he was someone I could trust to help protect my pack and what was left of it. He was one of the few that knew there were still surviving members from that fateful night. I lost both my parents including my twin sister Mia.

Flashback

I just kept running as fast as my little legs could carry me. Even though I had Alpha genes on me, I was only 6 years old, and it would still be hard for me to outrun a lot of full-grown werewolves. A rogue tackled me to the ground and was trying to break my legs. I managed to free my legs and kick him where it would hurt the most. Suddenly, a wolf leapt over me and got hold of the rogue’s wolf neck and snapped it. I quickly got up into a defensive position until the wolf turned around and I realized it was Beta Lucas. He growled lowly and indicated I should jump on to his back since I was still too young to shift. He quickly ran as fast as he could til we met up with some pack members, which included some females, Omegas, the pack doctor Jane and some orphaned kids and Beta Lucas’s wife Sarah. All the adults were in wolf forms and carried those who were not able to keep up with everyone. I remained on Beta Lucas’s back, and they continued to run til we could get away from the rogues.

We kept running til we knew we were safe and found a cave hidden behind a waterfall. Those who were in their wolf forms transformed back to their human forms. Beta Lucas hugged me, and the pack doctor checked me over for any cuts and bruises. Beta Lucas sat opposite me and said “Jason, where is your sister Mia?” “I don’t know Beta Lucas; we were running and we heard the rogues gaining on us so we separated and I would act as a distraction. Do you think Mia is safe?” I responded back. Beta Lucas face looked down and responded softly, “I pray that your sister is safe, but we will find her.”

End of flashback

I recalled that we never stayed in one location for long as we did not know who the rogues were that attacked us or for what reason why they wanted Mia and myself. Lucas continued to train all of us including the pack doctor, the females, and Omegas so we would know how to protect ourselves if we ever found ourselves in trouble. We also avoided any pack territories until we could reach one, we thought we could trust. We generally stayed with the smaller packs that were normally neutral, requesting their Alpha’s permission to be able to replenish our stocks and train to learn more techniques so that we could protect ourselves better.

During the years, we would often come across rogues but not because they wanted to be rogues but because of their situations. There were rumours saying a rogue pack was destroying other packs. One of the rogues we picked up Ember, who happened to be mated to our pack warrior Paul. Paul became our head warrior and Ember was just as fierce. She could take on a lot of our male pack warriors and was one of the best trackers we had in our pack. Turns out Ember came from a family of trackers and had lost her family and pack in one of the attacks.

Whilst our pack growing again, it was no where near what the Crescent Moon pack used to be. We established our pack as the Moon Hunters Pack but once again rogues almost destroyed us and hence why we reached out to the Night Moon pack. They were now the largest pack, and we needed their protection. From my talks with Alpha Damien, he was a reasonable Alpha and I hope I can strike up a treaty with them.

I heard a soft knock on my door and said, “Come in!” It was Beta Lucas, he looked around my room and turned to me, and said, “you ready Jason?” He does not call me Alpha as I always looked up to him even when I was kid. He took me in as one of his own children. “I am ready, let’s go. Is everyone ready to go now?” We left my room and proceeded to go downstairs to meet the pack members.

The journey to Night Moon pack was 4 hours. We had gotten to the border when the border patrol stopped our cars. We explained to them who we were, and they had mind linked Alpha Damien of my arrival. When we finally got into the view of the Pack house, our cars stopped and Lucas stepped out of his car first, alongside with Sarah and their 14-year- old son Justin. Lucas is training Justin to be my Beta. Justin is slightly younger than me by 3 years and we have grown quite close as he got older. He was my best friend. I then stepped out and I walked up the steps to go meet Alpha Damien. I shook his hands and he engulfed me into a hug and said to me, “Welcome to the Night Moon Pack Alpha Jason, it is so good to see you, please this is my Beta Peter.” I shook hands with Beta Peter and then Alpha Damien introduced me to his son, Alpha Hunter. We exchanged pleasantries and I also introduced Beta Lucas to them. Once the pleasantries were exchanged, Alpha Damien said, “Now the pleasantries are out of the way, come inside to the Packhouse, lunch will be served shortly, we can get you settled into your new accommodation.”

An Omega approached us and took us to our rooms. I was settled in one of the Alpha’s guest rooms. It was a big spacious room with a king size bed, and big ensuite bathroom. It was modern inside. I heard a knock on my door, followed by “Alpha Jason, lunch will be served shortly, are you ready?” I opened the door and followed the Omega downstairs.

We went into a kitchen, and I ended up sitting next to Alpha Hunter. He made small talks with me and turned around and asked me, “So did you use back your own pack’s name or create a new one?” I responded, “We will go back to using Crescent Moon Pack but only after everyone are caught, who is responsible for my pack’s deaths, but for now we are going with The Moon Hunters Pack.” He nodded and responded, “That is quite a nice new name actually.” I proceeded to ask, “So I hear tonight is when you will become Alpha, you will do well, and we can work together.” I nodded and responded, “I look forward to working with you also.”

Shortly, after lunch, I followed Alpha Damien to his office to talk. “Please sit Jason, I hope you do not mind that we are on our first name basis.” Damien said to me. I responded, “Not at all, you have been so kind to open your doors to me and my pack members I will forever be grateful for the kindness you have shown to me. I hope that between our packs, we will have a friendship that will continue for generations. You are the next closest to what I call family, after my pack. Have you managed to find any information whether my twin sister, Mia is alive?” Alpha Damien looked at me sadly, and said, “Jason, I am so sorry, I am still not getting much information regarding your twin sister Mia. She could be living under a different name. Whoever attacked your pack has been attacking a lot of other packs, apparently after you. We will need to ensure you and your pack members are joining in on all our training sessions in case, these rogues try to come here.” At the thought of that, I growled and gripped the sides of the chair, furious if the rogues came here. “Do not worry, Hunter will be the new Alpha, I am sure you young ones can put together a plan, I have faith that you two will become the greatest Alphas around.” “That sounds like a plan Damien.” I nodded agreeing with his plan. I proceeded to question, “Is Hunter aware of all this, or is this something that we will have to discuss with him?” Damien responded back, “I have kept the secrets about your pack under wraps for a long time Jason. I know the revenge you seek, and it is only fair and just. We will tell Hunter once he becomes Alpha after tonight’s ceremony. For now, I want you to enjoy the rest of the day, go hang out with Hunter and the others and get to know them as you will both be working very closely soon.” I nodded in agreeance and thanked Alpha Damien for his time and left the room.

I wandered around and I could hear noise coming from the living room due to our wolf super hearings. I could see Hunter and his friends playing some games in the living room and stood by the doorway looking at what they were playing. Hunter called out to me, “Hey Alpha Jason, your welcome to join us if you don’t feel like resting, your other pack members are currently resting in their rooms.” I walked over and sat next to Hunter and turned to face him and said, “Please only just call me Jason, we are soon to be allies and I hope soon we will be friends.” Hunter nodded at my comment and replied, “Of course Jason, likewise to you.”

I got to know Mike, who would be Hunter’s Beta when he becomes Alpha. I found out that Mike was the son of Beta Peter. He was chilled out and was really close with Hunter, just like Justin and me. Mike was far more talkative than anyone. He told stories of when they were kids, and we were laughing till we were in stitches. I also met Ben, who would be Hunter’s Gamma when Hunter takes over as Alpha. He was this big 6ft guy, he was not as talkative as Mike but still friendly. I could tell they were both very dedicated to training and ensuring women are also being trained. I could tell Ben was a great warrior, and I thought maybe my lead warriors, Paul and Ember can both learn from their training sessions.

Soon, it was time for us to get ready for Hunter’s Alpha ceremony and his 21st birthday. I got dressed up in my best and probably my favourite suit, the dark navy-blue suit that I usually wear for most functions at least once.

My pack and I descended to the pack hall where the Alpha ceremony would be held. We all sat on one table. I watched Alpha Damien stand up, “Pack members, can I have your attention please. Tonight, this pack will have a new Alpha but as you have realized, we have some guests with us, they are the Moon Hunter Pack, please make them feel welcomed during their stay here!” The room erupted with cheers and shouts of “Welcome!” I looked around the room and nodded. It felt weird to be in such a big pack, it made me miss our old pack, my parents, and my twin sister Mia. I hope she is still alive. I do not think she is dead; I am positive.

Soon, food began arriving to our tables, the food was fantastic, and it felt great to finally unwind, all the travelling that we have been doing just to hide ourselves. Tomorrow, will be a brand-new day, new allies and to begin a new search for my sister.
