The Special Alpha Twin

Chapter 1

Hunter POV

Today, is the day I become the Alpha of the Night Moon Pack and it was the day I turn 21. My dad, the soon to be former Alpha Damien handed me the Alpha duties knowing I was capable. Tonight, the Alpha ceremony will be held alongside my birthday party. I could hear my mum, Luna Michelle barking orders at the Omegas to make sure everything was perfect for tonight.

I headed to the training grounds to see my best friend, future Beta Mike, and my future Gamma Ben. Our Head warrior is currently Luke barked at all the warriors to start running 10 miles in our human form, even I as future Alpha was not exempt. Although, this is how we became the strongest and largest wolf pack. Ever since the attack on the Golden Moon Pack by the rogues and apparently there was no survivors in that pack house. If there were any traces of any survivors, they disappeared. After this, my dad decided to start training all our females and tightened up our security.

When we finished our running 10 miles, we were put into pairs to spar. I was sparring with Mike today, he grinned at me and smirked "You ready to be our Alpha" I scoffed at his comment and retorted back "born to be ready." I have known Mike since we were kids, and we were always close. Mike was playboy and was always seen with different girls every other week. I was seeing this girl, Stella, but she was crazy, and I broke things off with her very quickly. Next minute, I felt Mike lunge at me whilst I was lost in my thoughts, but I quickly dodged and grab his arm and threw him onto the ground.

I received a mind link from my father to meet him in the Alpha office. Mike also received a mind link from his father Peter, the current Beta to my father to also meet him in the Alpha office. We headed back towards the pack house wondering what was wrong.

I knocked on the Alpha office door and could hear my father's voice say "Come in." I opened the door and Mike and I stepped into my father's office and sat in the seats. We sat in the empty seats facing my father and Peter.

My father cleared his throat and said “Hunter, do you remember the tragedy of the Golden Moon Pack?” I nodded and responded, “Yes Alpha, I remember you telling me about this, you always made sure we knew about these things so that we could always be prepared if anything happens to our own pack.” The Alpha proceeded to say “Well, there were some survivors actually, the previous Alpha son, who is now Alpha, the Beta and his family and a handful of warriors. As you can imagine, it has been kept a secret as the ones responsible have never been found for the slaughter.”

Mike and I looked at each other at the things my father revealed to us today. I turned back to my father and questioned him, “Do we know where they have been hiding all this time?” My father responded back “Well, I cannot say for certain, but you can ask him when he arrives here. I will also be teaching him to be a better Alpha. They will soon be here and to stay with us for a few months.”

Mike and I left the office, we did not speak since we were still trying to comprehend what on earth has happened. Why did my dad hide the fact that there were survivors? So many questions ran through my head.

I got a mind link from one of the guards to say there was an Alpha Jason and his pack members at the gates and will be approaching the packhouse. I met my dad at the front of the packhouse and waited for the cars to approach the packhouse.

I saw some pack members get out of the car and saw the Beta and his family step out of the second car. Lastly, I saw the Alpha step out of the car. He was tall and well built. He walked up and shake my dad’s hand. My dad shook his hands and pulled him into a hug saying “Welcome Alpha Jason, it is so good to see you. Please, this is my Beta Peter.” Alpha Jason and Beta Peter shook hands and exchanges pleasantries. My father introduced Alpha Jason to me, and I shook his hands. I said to him, “Welcome to Night Moon Pack Alpha Jason, I look forward to working with you closely.” He responded back to, “Likewise Alpha Hunter.” Alpha Jason introduced his Beta Lucas to us, and we all exchanged pleasantries. My father said, “Now the pleasantries are out of the way, come inside to the Packhouse, lunch will be served shortly, we can get you settled into your new accommodation.”

Soon lunch was served, we went to the kitchen, and we sat around the table including Alpha Jason and his pack members. I was sat next to Jason and decided to make small talk with him. I turned around and asked, “So did you use back your own pack’s name or create a new one?” Jason responded, “We will go back to using Crescent Moon Pack but only after everyone are caught, who is responsible for my pack’s deaths, but for now we are going with The Moon Hunters Pack.” I nodded and responded, “That is quite a nice new name actually.” Jason proceeded to ask, “So I hear tonight is when you will become Alpha, you will do well and we can work together.” I nodded and responded, “I look forward to working with you also.”

Lunch soon ended and The Moon Hunters Pack members decided to go rest. We bid them a good rest and decided to kill some time in the living room and play some games before tonight’s ceremony. I saw Jason standing there and said, “Hey Alpha Jason, your welcome to join us if you don’t feel like resting, your other pack members are currently resting in their rooms.” Jason walked over and sat next to me. He turned towards me and said, “Please only just call me Jason we are allies and I hope soon we will be friends.” I nodded and replied, “Of course Jason, likewise to you.”

Time flew past as we played games together and Jason getting to know Mike and Ben. Soon, it was time I had to get ready for my Alpha ceremony. I wore my navy-blue suit and slicked my hair back. It was time for me head downstairs. I proceeded downstairs and see Mike and Ben waiting for me and said, “Lets get this done.” I proceeded to the pack hall and walked to the table and sat down with my parents and Beta Peter and Jason. I noticed the Moon Hunters Pack were sitting on one table with the Beta sitting there with his family.

My father stood up and his voice boomed, “Pack members, can I have your attention please.” The room went silent at my father’s voice. He continued, “Tonight, this pack will have a new Alpha but as you have realized, we have some guests with us, they are the Moon Hunter Pack, please make them feel welcomed during their stay here!” The room erupted with cheers and clapping and shouting of “Welcome!” around the room. Once the noise died down in the room, my father turned to me and said, “Hunter, please come up to the front.” I got up from my seat and proceeded to stand next to my father.

My father looked at me and his voice boomed, “Today, is Hunter’s 21st birthday but there are bigger things on the horizon for him. It is now time for me to hand over the Alpha title to my son, Hunter. I know he will make us proud, and he will be a great leader!” The pack hall erupted into cheers of hooting and clapping. My father put his hand up and the pack hall went silent.

“Hunter James Blacksburg, do you accept the position of Alpha to the Night Moon Pack?” my father asked. “I do.” I responded back. “Do you promise that you will lead the pack with the best of your ability and act in the best interest of the Night Moon Pack?” my father asked. “Always” I responded back. “It is the greatest honour for me to present to you all, your new Alpha of the Night Moon Pack!” My father announced to the pack. The entire pack erupted with cheers and clapping!

I felt my power grow when I was announced as Alpha of the Night Moon Pack. When it quietened in the pack hall. I turn around to face my pack members “Thank you for accepting me as your Alpha, I will ensure that I will always act in the best interest of the Night Moon Pack. We will have some changes, starting with Beta position, your new Beta will be Mike Thomas, son of Beta Peter. We have also introduced a Gamma position, which will be Ben Mason! Please let them both feel welcome!” The pack hall erupted into cheers again. “Now let us all eat as I know you guys are all hungry!” my voice boomed across the pack hall. On that note, the Omegas brought out all the food, whilst I returned to my seat at the table.

Whilst we were enjoying the food that was brought out to us, we all chatted around, when I saw Beta Lucas approaching our table and Jason got up to join him. “Congratulations on becoming Alpha, Alpha Hunter” offering me a handshake. I got up and shook Beta Lucas’s hand. “Please Beta Lucas, please just call me Hunter, we can skip the formalities” I responded back to Beta Lucas. I turned to Jason and said, “Tomorrow morning, we will deal with a treaty and we can go through some details on what you will need in order to grow your pack again. For tonight, I would like you guys to enjoy yourselves.” Jason responded back, “That would be great!”

We all partied hard after that since it was also my 21st birthday but also announcing me as Alpha to the pack.
