Stephany's P.O.V KICK!! "Mmmm." KICK!! KICK!! "Stop, please. I'm trying too sleep." KICK!! KICK!! KICK!! "Ugh!" what in the hell? I groan in annoyance. It is WAY too early for this s**t. I'm still sore from the beating I took yesterday. ~FLASH BACK~ I'm carrying 9 drinks on a tray, hurrying to the game room where Chris and his d**k wad friends are hanging out. I make it there just in the nick of time too. I proceed to hand everyone their drinks. Just when I go to hand Cody his drink, I'm tripped by someone and the drink spills all over him, covering him from head to toe. By all the laughter going on, it tells me that this was not an accident. Those mother fuckers!! I apologize anyway, not that it matters. "I am so sorry. I grab the hand towel and try to clean it up, but Cody shoves me back and I fall flat on my ass. "Get the f**k away from me you worthless f*****g bitch." I lower my head, trying not to say anything or growl, because I'm about to lose my s**t and I don't want anymore trouble today. I'm not allowed to speak unless spoken too and someone permits it. Being in no more trouble was wishful thinking, because I got grabbed by the neck and forced up to see Chris and his friends who are grinning evilly at me. I'm punched in the face, kicked in the stomach, hair pulled and thrown out of the room, hitting the wall whilst they laughed at me. Once I picked myself up from the floor and gathered my things, I let the tears fall. It's been a LONG ass day. No way in hell will I allow them to see me cry though. They will just laugh and hurt me more and i refuse to give them the satisfaction. I ran outside to the pond and splashed water on my face to remove the evidence of my tears so V wouldn't worry. After a few minutes of just sitting there with my hands over my face, I get up and grab my bed things. I laid my sheets on the floor and laid down, ready for sleep to overcome me, whilst waiting on Veda to settle in as well. ~END OF FLASH BACK~ So I'm wondering why Veda is trying to wake me. "What Veda?" I ask her in a raspy voice and sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes. What could be so important that she keeps kicking my leg? I thought it was my bestie but I was wrong. It's Sam, The Alpha and Luna's daughter She is standing there with one hand on her hip and looking at her nails with a bored, smug expression on her face. "what I would give to wipe that look off her face." I roll my eyes at my wolf. "It's about time you woke your lazy ass up. I have been out here for ten minutes trying to wake you. Just wait until I tell father!" Ugh! really? Just want I need. A real life nightmare. It's bad enough I have horrible dreams and can hardly sleep. Now I have to listen to this b***h? and her voice, it's like nails on a chalkboard. We both know she hasn't been out here that long. She is exaggerating. She just wants a reason for me to be on her parents s**t list, like unusual. She lives for V and myself to get into trouble. "And where the hell is Veda? I haven't seen her." I looked around and could not spot her. I began to panic because Veda doesn't wander too far from me. The last time she did some jack asses tried to assault her, so now she stays in close proximity to me. Relief washed over me when I saw V running towards me from behind Sam. As she got closer she realized who was standing there and slightly froze but continued walking, just at a slower pace and her head lowered. Hearing the sound of approaching foot steps through the crunching of leaves and twigs, Sam turned around glaring at V. "Where the hell were you?" She snaps. I can see the fear in V's eyes. "I um, I....I..I w..was." "You um, you were what? spit it out loser." COUGH, COUGH. I faked a cough to avert Sam's attention back to me so she would leave V alone, besides, she came outside for a reason. Nobody comes out here to our 'room' unless they are beating us. I use the word room lightly because V and I don't have a room. We have the outside and a sheet on the ground. We live outside. We are not even allowed inside the pack house other than cooking and cleaning. "Your ugly presences are being wanted in the dinning room." It wasn't time to make breakfast so I was wondering what iwas going on. Sam turns to walk away but being the b***h she is, She turns back around and jumps at V, making her squeal. Sam turns back around and cackles as she heads towards the pack house.without even looking back she screeches "Today!" my poor bestie, always so scared. "Are you alright V?" By the way, Happy Birthday Stephany!!!! Veda hands me a box wrapped in news paper and when I open it, I gasp upon seeing what it is. "Oh my goddess V, It's beautiful. Thank you. You didn't have to get me anything though." I'm wiping my tears that have fallen.V got me a beautiful stainless steel ring with my birthstone in it. Normally at 18 is when we gain our wolf counterpart and then have our first shift but I didn't have to wait. As far as what she looks like she is a white wolf with a tint of lavender and has purple eyes. I know this because Adam was staring at me with his mouth hung open like he was trying to catch flies ignoring me, so I walked over to the lake that we use to bathe in to look for myself I was shocked and in awe. I had and still have never seen a white wolf let alone a white wolf with tints of lavender and purple eyes. I always thought and would say I was a freak but Winter kept assuring me that I wasn't, That I was and am special. Although I'm not too sure what is so special about me. In case you haven't figured it out, we can't stand our Alpha and Luna or their family, hell even the pack. For whatever reason we are the most hated pack members here. We are treated like s**t!!l If you're wondering about our families, well mine are a part of the pack. In fact they are the beta male and female to the Alpha. Yes you read that right. I'm of beta blood but get treated worse than an omega and my family, aside from my big brother Adam, allowed it to happen.Of course he didn't know about anything and was beyond pissed off when our parents kicked me out of our home but couldn't really do anything because they said it was Alpha and Luna's orders and wishes and he nor them could go against them. He always tried to protect me and help me.He turned down being beta for Chris, even though they were best friends. Adam couldn't help run a ruthless pack. He has no idea about the abuse though. I never told him about any of it or who it was. I hid it from him. As far as he was aware I was just treated badly by some of the pack members. When the opportunity arrived, he went to warrior training. I didn't want to be the reason he had to stay. He always wanted to become a warrior, so I lied and pretended everything was fine. There was a time when my parents seemed to love me, or so I thought. Maybe it was just me being a dumb, naive child. As for V, well she was at school when a fire broke out at the Rodriguez cottage, killing her older sister Fey and her parents, Edward and Nina, so The Alpha, Danny and Luna, Morgan made her an omega and a child slave as well since she had no money to stay in her house, which is how we met and became the best of friends. Rumors spread that she set up the fire which is bull s**t. She loved her family and was devastated when she found out after she came home from school. I used to go to school as well but I was told "Chores were an all day thing" so I was forced to quit, never graduating. Each pack has a school for our kind to attend and I made a promise to myself that If I ever ran away I would go back to school somehow. Maybe I would live my life in a human town. Being a rogue is frowned upon, even if you are a non violent one. Anyway V and I are walking towards the pack house. I knock on the door and wait for it to open to be let in. We make our way to the dining room Where Danny is sitting at the head of the table and Morgan is standing beside him with her hand on his shoulder looking at me with so much disgust..The feeling is mutual "Ah, good, you're here on time......for once. Today is your birthday is it not? uh, what in the hell? He's being nice to me? something is definitely up because this is not him at all. Normally I'm getting screamed at. It's a shitty reason for her to be punished but they also find every excuse for us to get in trouble. She would never finish in time. That is why Morgan gave her that chore. Normally we don't mind laundry duty. We don't get bothered and it gives us time to think. But this, this is going over bored. Unless Chris has friends in his room, Then he's my mate, which I'm hoping to the moon goddess he is not but knowing her, who seems to have a sense of humor, earlier I thought I would feel bad for whoever his mate is. The closer I get to the room the stronger the smell becomes, and He is in there with someone but unfortunately that someone happens to be a girl not his friends. I slowly make my way towards his room when I hear the door open and out flies a naked Erin, followed by the loud bang of a slamming door. Of course it's just another skanky w***e in his bed. He stumbled back a bit and put his hands on his chest as if to be in pain. what the f**k? I didn't really care either way. I turned around and left out the door sighing in relief and not caring about the sad, mad and shocked look he had on his face or that I didn't even clean the room. I pissed him off. I slapped him and rejected him. Nobody dared deny the soon to be Alpha and I did. I even looked him in the eyes when I said my rejection to him which is something no one else would do, I know he probably wants to murder me. I felt absolutely amazing. He couldn't believe it. He thought he would cause me more pain but it kind of looked like he was the one in pain. good It's what he deserves I wanted to get as far away from him as I possibly could. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could. I couldn't wait for today to be over with. I went to the laundry room and V and I spent the rest of the afternoon finishing the clothes and beds. I then made my way outside to set up. About an hour after I got outside I finished just in time. people were starting to arrive. I went to the kitchen and grabbed my tray and returned out back. I was offering people snacks and drinks and saw Veda doing the same on the other side of the yard. More and more people were showing up and soon the back yard was filled. I was rushing around, making sure every one had been attended to and to see if anyone wanted refills. As I was making my way to a group of people I was snatched by my hair and dragged away deep into the woods and away from everyone and got slapped by Morgan "WHAT THE HELL?" I yell and glare while holding my face. "How dare you speak to me and a pack member you ungrateful little b***h!" "WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?" I knew I should have stayed quiet or else I'll make this worse, but my mouth wouldn't cooperate. I get in a lot of trouble. I have no filter and when I get going it's impossible for me to stop, and right now I have had it. I've had it with this pack and these people. "HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THIS. I'M YOUR LUNA. Morgan yelled but quieted down. I guess she didn't want to draw attention to us since there were Elders here. PUNCH PUNCH!! She punches me in the head twice, splitting it open. "You're trash!! Your own parents don't want you! No one ever will." I get punched in the stomach by Sam. Erin is watching everything whilst smirking evilly. KICK I began whimpering I'm in pain. "P...pl..please s..st...stop." I hated that I was begging but I couldn't take anymore. I noticed there was a pool of blood at my feet and I was becoming light headed but that didn't stop them. The beating continued with a kick to the chest knocking me down on my back and knocking the wind out of me. I was trying to catch my breath but it seemed useless. They were going to kill me. It wasn't until I saw a foot aiming for my head that the torture stopped by the feeling of the ground shaking from underneath me, from the sound of a very angry, pissed off wolf's powerful growl. I thought I heard the word mate but wasn't sure because I was slipping in and out of consciousness until the out part of it won over and then.... blackness.
