Jason’s POV By the next night, we’ve made it to North Carolina. We could have made it all the way to Durham in another few hours, but Spellbound is stomping, my legs are cramping, Alex is hungry, and, again, we’re not exactly in a hurry.  We call Cliff and find the usual stable-and-motel combo, and within the hour we’re settled into our usual two-bed room.  Brooke and Milo haven’t so much as looked at each other since their fight.
